  1. The first in the current crop of 3 new episodes of Sherlock. The high standard is maintained. Dr Zhivago on TV again yesterday - was drawn into it since there seemed to be alot I had not seen before, perhaps it was some sort of directors cut. That and Julie Christie of course.
  2. Sad news. Great harmony is a magical element not used enough, I suppose precisely because its a gift hard to achieve.
  3. Report on this show plus a veritable Living Room reporting jackpot (with lots of cakage) http://easilyfooled.blogspot.co.uk/search/label/jefftweedy
  4. Now listening - The I'm Sorry I Haven't A Clue 2003 Christmas special. Now and again it is good that BBC Radio 4Extra has so many repeats. Just brilliant stuff. http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b00g27cl
  5. As has been said before and hopefully will be said many times to come - thanks for some great reportage Bbop

  7. Walt Whitman's Chicken There used to be several threads like this, though with more liberal rules. Who remembers the Russian/soviet thread? I think the best I came up with was "Someday Some Morning Smolensk" and "When You Wake Up Feeling Olga", but someone came up with the marvellous "What's the GUM Got in Store"
  8. Puntastic Kicking Chicken (Live in Chicago) (tied with the simple but strangely rib-tickling Wilco (The Chicken) ) One Sunday Morning (Song for Jane Smiley's Chicken)
  9. I say it periodically, but JT really needs to do a job on Emmylou.
  10. That must be one happy guitar tech at the moment ... Australia are trouncing the Pommies. Not a massive cricket fan, but I am a fan of the great BBC commentary team ... especially the late great Brian Johnston http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KsVTpX7LdZQ Back on track - thanks for some great reporting.
  11. http://www.kansascity.com/2013/12/04/4668072/jeff-tweedy-gives-an-uptown-theater.html Includes a touch of banter corner.
  12. It's a sad dash for cash, but let them get on with it ... Meanwhile ... http://www.telegraph.co.uk/culture/comedy/comedy-news/10463439/Monty-Python-reunion-10-things-you-didnt-know.html
  13. Background sound of Black Moon on different episode of same show.
  14. The trailer we got afterwards was for the next lot of Sherlock Holmes. My recent favourite Brit TV series: Peaky Blinders, Fresh Meat, Toast of London
  15. Yes. A fav since Message To My Girl. Probably won't get it too soon though so please report on how you find it.
  16. That was enjoyable. Got worried at the start with the Tardis on a helicopter segment, but it turned into a memorable episode worthy of the anniversary. And: TOM BAKER!
  17. Watched Gatiss's An Adventure In Time And Space - behind the scenes of the early days featuring female producer Verity Lambert and William Hartnell. Really well made with period atmosphere and some nice touches.
  18. Wow, the first VCer I ever met close up and personal. The Astoria in 2004, so ALTWSS was indeed alot like that video.
  19. Good 'ol Freda http://www.theguardian.com/music/2013/nov/17/beatles-secretary-freda-kelly-story http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LqO3DIaKTXM
