  1. Agreed. I love it. Makes me chuckle to hear it.
  2. This looks incredible! Loved the classroom scene with the kids learning English. And the dancing shadows are brilliant!

  4. Dear Dunja, I wish you the most brilliant of birthdays! This is for you! (I only nibbled a little off the back.) Have a wonderful new year of your life!
  5. Boy you're quick. I was just going to post that that was up, and give the link, but you beat me to it. Planning to up it to Archive.org too, but are having a glitch with the encoding...got a question in to the site. So that'll be up soon. We'll also be putting up the 8-29-09 Troubadour show. 6. Bink, you are going to have the most amazing and fun time! The band has been very accessible so don't hesitate to get some chat time after the show! Also, we (My son Brennan & I) are in the process (at this very moment in fact) of uploading the Lake Arrowhead and Troubadour shows so that you can download. I'll post a link as soon as that finishes up.
  7. I'm in Riverside, CA. Tell Tunes to detour around all the fires. Alissa was just bemoaning her hair today...she's got school pics tomorrow. Her hair is so thick, but it's lovely. It looks really cute shorter, but she loves it long so I let her be. Maybe I should send her to your stylist! Post a picture of Chico! And no, Noods hasn't seen Beverly Hills Chihuahua. I suppose I'll have to rent it for him, but he's got the attention span of a...well, of a chihuahua/ Jack Russell terrier mix!
  8. I'm a little concerned, because isn't "the universe starting to make sense" one of the signs of the Apocalypse? Regardless, I like the Jumble cartoon art! Good Wilco-promoting, JAK!
  9. Ok, I get it now. If Noodle had a 3-ft. "pork stick" he'd be virtually crippled having to trip all over it. Next time I'm buying the beef stick so Brianne can't go all APE over a mention of it.
  10. That's a great little article. Thanks for sharing it!
  11. Thanks so much for sharing that EP! Hot damn, that's a prize, I'll have to try and get myself the genuine article. I laughed out loud when "Go Pilots Go" began! Now I'm wondering which set of lyrics came first, the "Pilots" ones or the "Blue Angels" ones. Too funny! This festival looks terrific! Have a great time!
  12. No I won't paint it for you. Brianne, I catch your drift but what does APE translate to? I'm a non-texter. American Puritan Ethic? Asociación Proverista Española? Amtspflichterfüllung? Alternative Php Encoder Computing? Ammunition Peculiar Equip? Associate Pastor Emeritus? I'm thinking probably that last one. Or maybe the German one.
  13. I have that Lowe Beats around here somewhere. I'll take a look and see if I can find it. Thanks for sharing that terrific clip! And I'm sure you mean "Go Blue Angels Go", right? I love that song! That whole YFF album is so fun. That sounds like a great EP!
  14. Lake Arrowhead Village does these free concerts every summer, so for any of you in the area, you might want to check the schedule.
  15. Sure! Haven't split tracks yet but they'll probably go up on Dimeadozen and/or Archive.org. Or you can drop me a pm.
  16. Where? Wish I could be there! We got great recordings of both nights, Arrowhead and Troubadour, and listening to them just makes me realize that these great fun shows just whooshed by much too fast! We also got a song from Scott's new Young Fresh Fellows album, "I Think This Is"..."Let the Good Times Crawl"...that is one terrific album! Scott "autographed" the cover painting of a headless, suit-and-tied torso for me: "Hey Donna, I lost me fookin' 'ead! Love, Davy Jones"
  17. Hi Tony! looks like you & the wife had a great view from up there! Looking at the after shots, where you can see the surrounding city, has me craving a return trip to London.
  18. Noodle asked me to see if Petunia is free Saturday, and does she enjoy rib bones? She's adorable!
  19. Peter and Scott Peter and Scott playing parallel guitars Linda & Peter Scott McCaughey and his guitarful of food decals Linda and Peter What a fabulous show! If they tour in your area, don't miss the fun. We had a blast!
  20. The day after the great Lake Arrowhead show, me & the kiddos (Alissa & Brennan) drove into L.A. to see the band again at The Troubadour, a club with a long hallowed rock history & terrific atmosphere. On the drive in we were startled to see the beginnings of the Station Fire, which is now huge and raging over difficult terrain smack in the middle of several L.A. communities...10,000 homes have been ordered evacuated and two firefighters have died. It was big almost immediately, as you can see from the picture below, taken from the freeway. Peter Buck & Scott McCaughey
  21. Noodle's about a year and a half now...I think he's as big as he's gonna get. We thought he might be quite a bit smaller & take after his chihuahua side, but he's instead got the muscle-y stocky build of his Jack Russell half. And sorry but Alissa says ixnay on the airhay onationday, udeday.
  22. Some more pix to share... The set-up was relaxingly informal, with picnic tables full of whole families, and typical carnival-style food available all around...giant dill pickles, kettle corn, beer aplenty Peter with a gorgeous bass, not from the lake. (little joke there) Steve Wynn, Linda Pitmon, & Peter Buck The band played one set, then broke for intermission before playing another long set. During intermission, t-shirts were shot into the crowd with a t-shirt gun, and all the kids were given inflatable guitars ("To play along") and balls. You can see a little girl with one of
  23. Me & the kiddos (Alissa and Brennan) spent a perfect Friday evening carousing with these blokes at a terrific free show up in the San Bernardino mountains, at Lake Arrowhead Village which sits beside the lake. We had a ball...great music, great location, free...what's not to love?! Such fun. Lake Arrowhead on a gorgeous sunny day. The stage was a short walk away from here. Linda Pitmon, Steve Wynn and Peter Buck Peter Buck Linda Pitmon & Steve Wynn The infamous Scott McCaughey
  24. Surprisingly, this dog is okay with being held in odd positions, and loves to sleep completely upside down, legs splayed, belly up. Hence one of his nicknames, Upside-downy Dog. He puts up with a lot from his humans, but then we also spoil him rotten so it all evens out.
  25. Noodle says to say, "Dan!" back. Also he says don't even try to take his 3-ft-long "pork stick" that I got him the other day from the coolest pet store ever, called Collar and Leash. (In L.A. on Santa Monica Blvd., for all you pet lovers.)
