Yeah, that whole part was very moving. I loved that Harry worked out some of his anguish in hand-digging Dobby's grave. I had really feared that this last book, and the act of making all the events of the others make sense and tie together, would prove too much for Rowling, and the final book would be trite and too simply summarized. I didn't give her enough credit! What a great book it turned out to be! Very satisfying. I'm waiting now for Tom to read it, just so we can talk about all the terrific scenes. He and I have been fans from the beginning. Molly Weasley is great against Bellatri

Hahaha, that's pretty great. Have you guys seen this? Don't worry, it's safe to watch....no spoilers. I've just finished the book minutes ago....now Tom and Alissa are both reading it at once, using 2 different bookmarks. I foresee some arguing, when they both have free time at the same time!

Nah, Springfield was one nutcase onstage....Davenport looked more like the photo you posted! What the two shows had in common, though, was a thoroughly inebriated crowd. I'll have to share my Davenport story sometime. Disclaimer for Jason Unger: What makes us remark on the incidents at Springfield, MO (where a fan jumped onstage and grabbed Jeff by the head) and Davenport, IA (where a big drunken brawl burst out in the front, on the floor) is precisely the fact that incidents like these are so opposite the usual Wilco concert experience!!! Wilco concerts tend to be very feel-good experiences

Welcome to VC! You are in for such a treat....a Wilco concert is like no other. Try to be up front if at all possible, but regardless, you'll have a great time. See you there!!! PS - Ignore Ryan (oceanman).....that only happens in Davenport....

That sounded a whole bunch like an invite.

I'm a frisbitarian. We believe that when you die, your soul goes up on the roof where no one can reach it.

I'll have the "Aw Shocks" potato salad with my burger. Recipes, please. PS - to Phish: Classy. Thanks for that.

What she said. C'mon, folks, today's a celebration of a great country and all of us lucky enough to be her citizens. As Rodney King expressed so well, "Can't we all just get along?" Yes, we can. Quit trading insults and go see if that chicken is done. And bring me some watermelon please.

I'll play the part of the prude (I'm not!) long enough to remind you all that we do have band members, their friends and family, and several younger board members who visit VC, so let's keep it reasonable, ok? Thanks Wendy!

Agreed. While this isn't unexpected, my disgust knows no bounds.

If so, I have a question for you. Please pm me. Thanks!

OK, you Rooney Garlands, stop spray-painting all the background scenery and sewing interviewing costumes....cute though they most assuredly are.........I'm going to close this thread for the time being, as suggested by jc4prez, until your friendly neighborhood moderministrators have had time to discuss the feasibility of this idea. We'll get back to you.

For the record, there were multiple VC items sold through cafepress in years past....t-shirts, coffee mugs, clocks, Christmas ornaments. I don't think it ever produced much money for the site. But perhaps we'll rethink using them again in the future.

This is a cool pair of questions! But whoa, whoa, all you energetic and enterprising Mickey Rooneys and Judy Garlands.....this is a very fun idea, but it needs to be thought over and given clearance through your friendly neighborhood Via Chicago management, if it is to fly under our auspices. Give us a bit of time to huddle & discuss, ok? Thx!

Aw, Julie, so sorry to hear the sad news. At least Trixie got to be well loved in her life. Condolences to your family!

The deep blue bridesmaids dresses were a great choice...they are very elegant and seem to flatter everyone! Very pretty. Though of course the bride is the center of attention, as it should be. Jen, you just glow with happiness.

Downloading now! Thank you, Brian!

Hi Jasmine! It's great to see you around again! Your son is gorgeous.

And.....we're done here.

Those are beautiful, Keith! I love Nels' shirt in these photos. Great colors.

That sounds intriguing! Thanks for the recommendation, and welcome to Via Chicago.
