This is a cool pair of questions! But whoa, whoa, all you energetic and enterprising Mickey Rooneys and Judy Garlands.....this is a very fun idea, but it needs to be thought over and given clearance through your friendly neighborhood Via Chicago management, if it is to fly under our auspices. Give us a bit of time to huddle & discuss, ok? Thx!

Aw, Julie, so sorry to hear the sad news. At least Trixie got to be well loved in her life. Condolences to your family!

The deep blue bridesmaids dresses were a great choice...they are very elegant and seem to flatter everyone! Very pretty. Though of course the bride is the center of attention, as it should be. Jen, you just glow with happiness.

Downloading now! Thank you, Brian!

Hi Jasmine! It's great to see you around again! Your son is gorgeous.

And.....we're done here.

Those are beautiful, Keith! I love Nels' shirt in these photos. Great colors.

That sounds intriguing! Thanks for the recommendation, and welcome to Via Chicago.

Just beautiful, Jen.

I believe those of us who haven't posted in this thread at all should receive an"Admirable Restraint" award consisting of pecan pie with DreamWhip and tickets to the Wilco concert of our choice. And I finally saw the commercial for VW (the "Thanks" one) as well as the one for AMC using "What Light" and found them both pretty pleasant. I liked hearing Jeff's voice emanating from my TV unexpectedly. Damn, there goes my Restraint award, huh? Edit: I believe anyone who's managed not to post in this thread until the 50th page still deserves an "Admirable Restraint" award. Show of hands,

Eric!!! I'm late, I'm late.....yet again....! But there's still time for the warmest of wishes, and birthday cake! May the coming year bring you health, prosperity, and joy. Also Wilco shows in your area!

Congratulations, Boots & wife! That's a great looking little boy! Happy Fathers' Day!!!! Is he your firstborn?

I can hear the heirs now......"I don't have anywhere to put that hunk of rust! You keep it! Grandma would want us to donate it to the city council! I know she would!" "Wait a minute though.....are those tranquilizers still ok?"

See you all soon....we are about to start the 2 1/2 hour drive to Davenport!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We're in seats 11 and 12 of Row A, Section B.

Good pointless, Johnny!

You're out of line, Pinto. This is a Wilco fan board, and this thread is expressly intended as a thank you thread to the band. No one is "ignor(ing) real issues and instead spend(ing) their time being distracted by entirely pointless trifles." A well-rounded life includes simple pleasures such as admiring and being uplifted by a talented and meaningful band such as Wilco. Our joys give meaning to the things we struggle toward, and the negatives we struggle against. So, struggle against what you believe is wrong, such as invading Iran. But don't act as though the people commenting in this thr

Should be fine as long as you don't use flash, and you may have a chance after the show to meet the band & chat & perhaps get a photo then. Your first Wilco show??!! You are in for such a treat.

I have memorized your face, and shall stare hard and questioningly at anyone who seems to resemble you. I will look like the eyebrow emoticon-> . You've been forewarned. Wilco-the-baby's parents? I expect you to introduce yourselves and perhaps show off current baby photos of your adorable son.

You do a good job and we'll move you right on up to KP. Did you really wash two cats today? Yikes! Or did you mean to type "cars"? Which scratch and bite a whole lot less..... ......if it was cats, could I put you in charge of getting Lammycat into the shower? (Sorry, Lammycat, it was just a joke. Go ahead and apply the headbonk emoticon, I deserve it)

That sounds like a book I'd love!

Cool! But I'll betcha you're not the oldest. We'll compare drivers licenses. PS Is the j for joanne? We'll wave...tentatively at first, then we'll flash the VC hand symbol, furtively....then security will collar us and throw us out of the venue for flashing gang signs....later we'll find out that it wasn't even you, you were 6 seats away in the opposite direction.....we were waving at a total stranger who happened to be undercover security..... Yep, pretty much sounds like my usual misadventure! Hey explodo, you wanna get in on the fun? We're gonna need someone to sneak in liquor, may

Laura! Wonderful to see you! As a reader, I tend toward fiction most of the time....but a well-written nonfiction is just as absorbing. By the way, that "The Blood of Strangers" you recommended awhile back was incredible! Go ahead and recommend whatever you have enjoyed. You have terrific taste in books. I'll find myself a copy of "Water for Elephants". I've heard something about that one, too. I think my book club carries it.

We love ya, Rosie.

Love that book. Great recommendations, everybody! Keep them coming.
