cool, thanks for posting these links! always like reading the concert reviews right after the show had taken place.
-
ive got the Spiders head bop going on with Bull Black Nova.
-
i retract my statement about waiting until 6/30 to listen to this. that's a long wait.
-
wow, this record sounds really, really great! kind of reminds me of Fionn Regan. thanks for sharing it with us on here. i'll be more than glad to purchase a copy when its released.
-
you're right. i love the feeling of finding awesome vinyl at flea markets/ thrift shops, etc... of an album you had no intention of buying until you came across it by chance. buying off the net takes that magic away.
-
that's gonna be 12:45 AM here when this sucker starts! i get home at 12 AM from work so this will work out well. look forward to seeing some of you here/ there then.

i caught the tail end of The Eleven> Touch of Grey, but here's the setlist someone posted on the chat after the show: set 1: Help on the Way Slipknot! Franklin's Tower Good Lovin' Cassidy Bird Song Uncle John's Band set 2: Unbroken Chain TOO Rhythm Devils Space Sugaree Gimme Shelter Sugar Magnolia set 3: St. Stephen The Eleven Touch of Grey after the show, they streamed the unaired Sunshine Daydream from David Letterman!

oh yes, Touch of Grey! Bob and Warren trading off on vocals this time. Warren does this song great justice, imo.

i don't need to be awake now but glad that i am for this. this is some quality footage. thanks for posting a link to it on here! edit- nvm.

have you seen her Elliott Smith book that came out a while back? i've thumbed through it like 15 times at various bookstores but have yet to buy it. the pics in there are fantastic! looking forward to seeing some more of her Wilco shoot.

if you can track down their albums on vinyl, do it! I bought American Beauty in NYC and Europe '72 off the net a while back. even found a cheap copy of Blues for Allah at a flea market. i've actually been more interested in building up my Dick's Picks/ official live records collection as of late. www.deadnetstore.com has a great selection of these CDs, not to mention downloads, but they're horrible at shipping out on time. on a side note, received my Dick's Picks 8 and Road Trips Vol. 2 #2 today. the Dick's Picks 8 was packaged with a Dick's Picks 9 booklet. i'm currently rocking out to t

its very cool to say the least! the first thing i thought of when i looked at it was Neil Young's On the Beach cover.
-
after 7 mins, i gave up. these things frustrate me.
-
i recall reading that but was thinking you had to wait 2 weeks, not an entire month! that's ridiculous. you're right on the "better late than never" part. for those prices on the Dick's Picks, its def worth the wait for me.
-
this is sorta an off question, but have any of you experienced any issues when ordering from dead.net? i placed an order for 2 shows, Dick's Picks 8 and the new Road Trips, a week ago and they have not even shipped yet! I paid extra for 2 day shipping as well. i've also created a customer ticket inquiry about this ordeal a few days ago and they haven't responded to that. if they sent me an e-mail alerting me to a possible back order, i'd be cool. maybe i'm overreacting, i dunno. sorry about the rant but maybe you guys can help shed some light onto this dilemma for me as this is my first time o

no Rider after China Cat? that in itself is weird. plus i've never heard 6 of those 8 songs before.
-
that's so freakin cool! 2 of my fav records morphed into 1! it'd be even cooler if the 69 Love Songs were pressed onto the Summerteeth vinyl.
-
haha, good call on the Samson and Delilah. kinda bummed that i missed the stream again... glad to see He's Gone get some more lovin! anyone know who wrote the setlist?
-
Digital Ash is a wonderful album as well. it took me slightly longer to get into it due to a country/ folk phase i was going through at the time. have any of you listened to 'I Will Be Grateful for This Day?' that song shoulda made the cut for Digital Ash just like 'Trees Get Wheeled Away' shoulda been on Wide Awake. those are 2 good tunes for sure.

that watch is rad. if Obama still has it, i'll buy it from him.
-
heard a new joke today! thought this thread could use some lightening up... It was once said that an African American would be elected as a president "when pigs fly." 100 days into Obama's presidency, swine flu.

Download Woody Guthrie's "The Jolly Banker!!!"

with the way our country is now, crummy economy, fighting a war(s), we seem to have much more in common with Guthrie's generation than any generation since. i think now would be the perfect time to do a Mermaid Avenue III. -
the music to 'My Wife's Home Town' is credited to both Bob Dylan and Willie Dixon. didn't Louie B point out that the music was pretty much lifted from a Muddy Waters song? wonder which song Waters lifted from Dixon?

yes. Creed's rehearsing for their week long, sold-out, residency at Madison Square Garden. can't wait!
