I zipped up all the songs that are on the album that have been played live and put them in order if anyone cares:

HERE

note: I put in Lets Not Get Carried Away for You are My Face since someone said that was the name change, so take that one with a grain of salt.

my only qualms about this album are the song titles (what happened to Lullaby for Rafters and Beams? that was a flippin' great title, and some missing parentheticals that I liked [Maybe the Sun] for track 1, and the fact that Patient With Me has two words tacked on the front that just don't do it for me). i liked with AGIB how the title was imbedded in the tune. my first reaction was "wtf agib?" and then I heard Theologians and I thought it was genius.

As to LNGCA, I figured it might not have made the album, just because (like Kicking Television), it simply is hard to do in the studio. There are songs that just are great live, then there are those kinds of songs that are great in the studio. LNGCA is definitely the former, but I am willing to be surprised (along with the title change it went through). It's possible that it's Hate It Here, it fits.

I also have the feeling that the some of the song titles are very Tupelo-remniscent.

I think we'll find that 'Lullaby...' is 'Sky Blue Sky'.

I didn't think LNGCA would make it - didn't seem to fit with the rest somehow.

It's going to be a fabulous album.

Sorry, just read the post quoted properly. You're talking about the song titles aren't you ... not the songs.

So this is the first mention of a release date.

May 15 it is ..... which in the music industry means sometime in July.

actually i would say with the music industry means more like its leaked sometime in march, i download it - because its wilco, then it comes out whenever... and i buy it, because again, it's Wilco, and I'm cool like that...

:cheers

You guys are seriously going to listen to it when it leaks? I thought there would be a lot of "hush-hush no-spoiler" action.

As you can see, I climbed aboard long after AGIB came out, so I'm new to this place in terms of studio releases.

Tempting as that oink torrent may be, I think I'm going to wait. I'll download any ol' cd any day of the week, but there's something momentous about opening the shrinkwrapping and the first few plays through.

I was a bit uncertain the first few listens. But, then it just suddenly clicked. Anyone that hates it - you're wrong - you just need to listen to it a few more times (probably 8 or 9 times in total - so studies show) - trust me, you'll get it in the end.

Excuse me if I'm stating the obvious, but do you already HAVE the album?

Seriously. I just dropped everything and went straight to Oink, where I found....nothing.

If you guys are just messing with us, its NOT funny......except it kind of is. :P

actually the band have finally developed a disc that will play a different trackorder every time you play it, even the ripped files will automatically mix themselves on your iTunes. it usually plays the trackorder they listed. I'm listening to my "friend of the band" copy right now, this is definately in my top 5 this year.
