Nonlinear Nonfiction
When you're done listening to those mp3s, check out the dude doing a cover of "Hey Ya" from this blog's post the day before... Also, SarahC...what drugs do you take in the morning?
SarahC
When you're done listening to those mp3s, check out the dude doing a cover of "Hey Ya" from this blog's post the day before... Also, SarahC...what drugs do you take in the morning? Music is my only drug, sir. It makes me really happy. Plus, I'm wide awake from driving to school through a huge-ass thunderstorm. Wilco makes me happy.
thisyearsgirl
YOU ARE MY FACE I remember my mother's sister's husband's brotherWorking in the gold mine, full time, filling in for sunshineFiling in to tight lines, ordinary beehivesThe door screams i hate you, hate youHanging 'round my blue jeans Why is there no breeze? No currency of leavesNo current through the water whileNo feelings i can see I trust no emotion I believe in locomotionI've turned to rust, as we've discussedThough I must have let you down too many timesIn the dirt and the dust [Guitar] I have no idea how this happensAll of my maps have been overthrownHappenstance has changed my glanceSo many times, my heart has been outgrown Now everybody's feeling all aloneCan't tell you who I am When everybody's feeling all aloneCan't tell you who I am [Guitar] I am looking forwardToward the shadows chasing bonesMy face is stitched and sewingOur houses hemmed into homes Trying to be thankfulOur stories fit into phonesAnd our voices lift so easily, a gift given accidentally When we're not sure we're alone holy crap...i love the lyrics alone as poetry, but this song is insanely good! i know it sounds dumb to say on a wilco messgeboard, but i love this band! ahhhhhhhhh.... these are glorious. word! skip
Good morning!! I also found three songs...listened to Either Way and You Are My Face now. Not that they ever lost it but they still got it!! Take that to the bank - Jack! Can you hear me smiling?
So Long
these sound amazing. And John's bass playing is awesome on these. Walken's rockin, and I'm sure that the sound quality is not giving all of these songs justice. I smell a leak soon...
CommerceComet
When you're done listening to those mp3s, check out the dude doing a cover of "Hey Ya" from this blog's post the day before... Ha. It's like Outkast meets Iron & Wine.
Spawn's dad
these are obviously demos. geez people
Vacant Horizon
You Are My Face is pretty good. Solo and drums are sweet. The rest is totally MOR. As usual, production is nice, warm and dry. However, the songs are totally unmemorable. c
socbret
I think these are solid songs. Put on some headphones and appreciate how terrible the sound quality of these mp3s are...very flat. Now that is coming from someone who typically doesn't care or claim to be able to tell such things, but the sound is so flat that I really think these incredible songs will be even more incredible when we hear them in their full depth. Anyone else notice?I noticed that too. I think Walken will especially benifit from hearing it in it's true form. What a great thing to wake up to. All three songs are incredible. entropy
Yessssssss. I'm heading off to do a presentation in a seminar, then to a new job interview. I was completely nervous about both of them, but now, I've just got this overriding feeling of joy and well being. Goddamn. I'm a happy guy.

Nonlinear Nonfiction
did someone say this? Couldn't they have found a newer pic of the band than the one they posted??? LouieB Haha, i thought the same thing right away - it answered my other question, too: did they have special permission to post these?

LouieB
These sound good to me ... looking forward to hearing them on the CD.Me too....sounds fine. We have been hearing Walken for some time, so I am not really sure what is wrong with it. The arrangement is pretty much the same as it has been all along. TCP
these are obviously demos. geez peopleThese are not demos. The thing is these aren't mastered yet. Early promos usually aren't. Anyone download Beck's Guero when it first leaked? It was flat like this is as well.
quarter23cd
Argh! Last thing I did before leaving the house this morning was check Oink. Nothing there, so I went on my merry way. Now I get to work, check out VC and find out that I missed out on the 3-song secret-ninja mini-leak! It will be a long day for me until I can get home and download these. entropy
It probably qualifies as a direct link to leaked material. That's my guess.
