tongue-tied lightning
http://www.countbasietheatre.org/ very cool place, from what I've heard, Maude. Red Bank is a nice little town too, got married there.
OOO
why does chicago CONSISTANTLY get no love from wilco?! This sucks!
parisisstale
Keep watching the Shows page on wilcoworld: http://wilcoworld.net/tours/index.php That'll be updated with info, including when pre-sales will start. When those are announced, there's usually also a link to sign up for the super-secret password to get in on those. And it'll more than likely be discussed here, so just keep checking back. OK, and I just found this http://wilcoworld.net/mailinglist/index.php?action=subscribe but I don't know if that's the official sign-up dealie. I don't think that's how I signed up for the e-mails...Question for friends and neighbors of the Count Basie Theater: whats's the deal? Reserved seating, GA? Good atmosphere? I'm intrigued... Really old theater that's definitely reserved seating. Only been there for comedy shows, so I can't really comment about the acoustics. Should be a great atmosphere, though. Doesn't hurt that Red Bank's one of the coolest little town's around. You're only a couple miles from the beach as well, so you could make a nice little weekend out of it. bböp
We've already begun planning our Quad Cities highlights tour!!!!! I hear there's an abbey there (no, not the Abbey Pub). And speaking of Abbys, Laura, do you think Ms. V could be coerced into venturing back toward the homeland?

bobbob1313
some of these southern dates are coinciding beautifully with my scheduled bonnaroo road trip! WOOOOO!! see you kids in atlanta, charlotte, and maybe davenport, too! wendy--that indy date is the first night of bonnaroo. darn the luck! I was looking into making the Atlanta show on the drive down from Bonnaroo, but seeing as it's only a 2 hour drive from Tennessee to Atlanta, it's gonna be tough to convince my mom to make a 2 day detour to see the same band we drove 14 hours to see 2 days before... Lammycat
"it's gonna be tough to convince my mom to make a 2 day detour to see the same band we drove 14 hours to see 2 days before..." You can always "convince" her with chloroform. I'm wonderin' if they'll be tacking on some western states to these dates in the beginning of the tour. Colorado is chock full-o great places to play. Kalle
I will be making my second straight Massey Hall appearence. Hopefully they add a Michigan date after it so I can have my minimum two Wilco show summer trip.
Wendy
wendy--that indy date is the first night of bonnaroo. darn the luck! Shoot. Well, there's always the future (we hope anyway) Fort Wayne show. misslaura
There are 2 free nights between NYC and Boston. I am hopeful - nobody ever plays New York for just one night, right? And while we're at it - finally some NYC love from Wilco! Can I get a witness?
bobbob1313
I can't say I'm shocked they are skipping Florida, but it doesn't make alot of sense. Why not keep moving South when you're already at Atlanta? Oh well, maybe they'll get here next march so I can continue my streak of 4 years of Wilco/Tweedy in March (or maybe there'll be another LR show?)

Fair enough, but I must point out that 2004 was a lloooonnngggg time ago. Us New Yorkers are just spoiled and as a result our expectations are too high.

I haven't gotten an email from them in the longest time and wouldn't want to miss out on the presale info because my computer thinks its spam. So does anyone know for sure? Lazy Locomotive
This summer will be my first summer living in Manhattan, and seeing Wilco in my first New York City summer is the best housewarming present of all time! P.S. After eight months of being a New Yorker I still must say.... Chicago > New York
