It's funny, because I don't really agree either (especially with a lot of your notable tracks). To each his own, though. I've always thought A.M. gets too little credit and Summerteeth gets way too much praise. For example, the last half of A.M. with Dash 7, Passenger Side, Too Far Apart, Blue Eyed Soul, etc. is excellent. And A Ghost is Born's messiness (or call it "planned chaos") is what makes it so interesting. Sky Blue Sky is still so new, that it's hard to fairly grade it, but I really love it so far.

I think it's impossible to grade the albums; each one, in its own context is a really good album; when you compare them, only then does one begin to sound weaker than the next. I.E. Summerteeth is amazing in its own right, it really represents the fucked up situation Jeff was in around that time, but once Sky Blue Sky came out, Summerteeth seemed to have become irrelevant in all its' teenage rantings. So, "apples and oranges" I say

Well yes, of course it's apples and oranges. But even as a fan you can still look at an artist's albums and judge for yourself what each means to you, right? Of course, we all will never agree on where the band's albums rank to each of us or what tracks mean more to us, but there's no reason for all of us to agree on everything all of the time.

All incredible albums from an incredible bands. Each one has been my favorite for a time. For me the peak is undoubtebly AGIB--every song is incredible. I have recently really gotten into am and being there oh and sky blue sky is legit.
