Gobias Industries
But holy crap, this magazine's got balls for printing this shite. Balls about to get cut off...
Lammycat
I suspect Ann Coulter to be behind the compiled list.

Jesusetc84
On the topic of overrated bands/records who else thinks Sleater-Kinney is terribly overrated? (please don't hate me now VC) Not anymore so than a lot of bands today. I've got to add M.I.A.- Arular to the list...I never understood why people treated this like the new sliced bread. cryptique
First of all, Blender is a completely crappy magazine. We ended up with a one-year subscription to it somehow (I suspect a prank) and we can't WAIT for it to end. I generally recycle it without even opening it. That said, I agree with them about recent Radiohead and recent Dylan (sorry). Otherwise ... a stupid list. ...except maybe for Pet Sounds.
mastershake
modern times > * albums in 2006 besides possibly Ys by Joanna Newsom. i don't like how the list can single out one particular phrase or lyric and ignore the rest. the rest was great... though possibly partially plagiarized. MrRain422
I agree with much of that list.
embiggen
Thanks a lot. That article just ruined my weekend. 5 Most Worthless Magazines 1. Blender2. Rolling Stone3. People4. Highlights5. Oprah's shitty magazine I grew up on Highlights.
ZenLunatic
Exile deserves all the attention, my fav Stones album. Just flat out rocks your socks off. The Stones have alot of good ones I agree especially Sticky Fingers, which I feel is the most polished album. Exile is just so raw and plain just rocks. I love my early Stones and Aerosmith. Nothing like hanging with my buddies drinking it up and smoking with Exile or Rocks blastin.
Calexico
I suspect Ann Coulter to be behind the compiled list. Let's cut her balls off then! Rubbish list of course, like every list these magazines print. Designed to court controversy and hopefully sell a few copies. I don;t know anything about that Clarkson album but I heard her perform that song live and the girl has got some pipes on her.

rover96
Who praises Lennon's output 1972-1980? No one I've ever heard of. And, in my opinion, Exile has many songs that 'clear the fences': Rocks OffRip This JointCasino BoogieTumbling DiceSweet VirginiaTorn and FrayedSweet Black AngelLoving CupHappyI Just Want to See His FaceLet it LooseShine a LightSoul Survivor For a double album, Exile is amazingly consistent. Best double album ever? I think so!
Mr. Kinsley
It seems that the intent of the list is really that some albums get too much praise. These albums are good, but enough already. That was definitely their point on the Aretha album.I was surprised that Nirvana's Nevermind wasn't on there. I love it, but there does seem to be a bit of hyperbole surrounding it. As well as Bullocks - influential, but not really all that good.
Jesusetc84
I have to say worst list ever.Tom Waits? overrated? huh? Am I missing something here? But last time I checked he is one of the most underappricated artists in rock music. His entire catalog is some of the best music ever put on tape. I did find Mule Variations extremely overrated. But for every mule variations there's a Tom Waits album not called Swordfishtrombones or Rain Dogs that is getting overlooked.
Gobias Industries
For a double album, Exile is amazingly consistent. Best double album ever? I think so! Psh, London Calling >>>>>>>> Exile any time of day.
you ever seen a ghost?
okay, they dump on Pet Sounds, Astral Weeks, Exile On Main St., Modern Times, Kid A and later period Tom Waits? ridiculous... -justin

squarewave
So Kelly Clakson is a "half-tard" (best writing in that article) It would appear that ANY idiot can be a rock writer.... Over-praised?? The concept in general is ridiculous. If I were to pipe in a vote, it would be any of the pseudo-alt BS of the past 5-10 years like Trail of Dead, Drive By Truckers, etc. Also, Eminem, 50 Cent, Lil' Wayne, Chamillionaire and any of that shit...Even if you say Em has created a new "flow" (which I would agree with), it's all re-tread hip-hop of the ORIGINAL hip-hop of the 80s-90s. Anything with "Puffy" in it has to suck, it's the law. Hip hop jumped the shark with the Biggy vs Tupac East Coast v. West Coast "war" and the shootings...Now it's about getting on Cribs. Hip-hop is SOOOO tired....

keylime
Judging all of hip-hop by the work of "Puffy" is like drinking piss and swearing off water. I was pissed off about that list, but this made me all better hahahaha! Also, someone mentioned Sleater-Kinney being overrated....agreed. Honestly, I fell asleep during their set at Wilco's NYE MSG show (they were loud, but I was TIRED).

DueReflection
just curious what Lil' Wayne has done lately to even warrant a mention? notorious b.i.g. is the lone puffy-ite with any juice. "don't ask me if i write rhymes, i write checks."
