Moe_Syzlak
So I'm really digging this. I know beggars shouldn't be choosers, but I was wondering if anyone has heard the "bonus disc" with Glenn?
stickman
Agreed on the Anonanimal sentiments. Not even all the way through the song yet and it might be favorite tune of the year. Or at least tied with some Bon Iver goodness. I enjoy The Privateers as well.
chanman1128
Yeah Anonanimal is clearly a great track. I can't stand 'not a robot'. I really like effigy through nomenclature cant wait to get more into this album
stickman
Yes it is going to be good to listen to on my walk to and from my final final today.
Three dollars and 63 cents
My copy of Live in Montreal arrived from Fat Possum yesterday. I figured they'd just wait to ship it with the new album, so it was a pleasant surprise. They marked on my invoice that the deluxe edition ships January 15th.
M. (hristine
2009 tour dates:Lawrence, KS Liberty HallMar 17Snagged 2 ga tickets for one of my favorite tiny venues to see shows. Â Who woulda thunk the opportunity to see live music would be such a great motivator for maintaining grades for a 12 year old girl. Â Woot!
Duck-Billed Catechist
I gave it the first car listen this morning. Really like it. Seems more complex and less spontaneous than the last two. Also, it seems like songwriting/lyrics have less of an emphasis, but that might just be because I haven't caught on to the more catchy lyrics yet. Also, more vocal harmonies (I think). M. (hristine
I'm thinking it's Kelly Hogan doing most of the vocal harmonies on Noble Beast.
Wendy
I'm liking this very much. Very much. Natural Disaster is really pretty, sorta reminds me of something off Beck Mutations, which I love.

KevinG
Is there anyway I can put this on my best of 2008 and 2009?

yermom
I'm only just now sitting down to listen to it through...so far, I'm less than impressed but I'm pretty crazy about Eggs and Armchair Apocrypha so fireworks would have to shoot out of my speakers or something to impress me at this point. I'm eyeballing that Tulsa date and thinking I might need to start saving up some dough to go on.

It falls short of Eggs for me (but that is one of my all time favortite albums so I don't expect him to EVER match that), but I think it's much better than Armchair. Armchair felt like it was written on the fly while playing with his looper. This one feels like "real" compositions (for lack of a better description).
