Doug C
2 for Portland!!!! Where did you find venue info? I can't anything about Maine State Pier anywhere. We have been to Portland tons but never to the pierUs also. We love Portland but never heard of the Pier. I, too, had a devil of a time googling anything about a venue/concerts there. This is what I was referring to, including the FAQ:http://www.greatnortheast.com/shows/pier09/index.php\ And Eph, thanks. I have heard nothing but great things about Quebec City. This seemed the perfect time (excuse!) to check it out.
linzer
Hi folks, I'm new to this forum so sorry if I should have posted this somewhere else. Anyone else here from Philly and going to the show in Wilmington, and want to take the R2 train together? I am carless... it says the concert venue is only 1 mile from the train station, but I still am not really into wandering around Wilmington alone. Get in touch w/ me at notfortheseasons [at] gmail.com. Thanks!

Thanks! hey linzer ... just be careful because the last northbound R2 leaves wilmington at 10:48 pm septa R2 sked: http://septa.org/service/sched/pdfs/R2MHW.pdf no clue when the show will start/end, but keep that in mind there is also an 11:36 amtrak ... looks like that's the last north-bound train of the night
cracked & hooked
it's none of my business really, but what exactly is wilco doing between brooklyn on 7/13 and maine on 7/17? whale watching on the cape or something? i've made that drive and while it can feel interminable, it don't take 4 days. Three dollars and 63 cents
Maybe they'll be having a birthday party for the camel?
cracked & hooked
Maybe they'll be having a birthday party for the camel?Yeah, maybe at Six Flags New England - that's about halfway. Or maybe they're just hanging around in the city that week. Letterman? Colbert? The View? At any rate, it looks like my dreams of another magical night at Tanglewood are dashed. In better news, we've decided to cut our OBX vacation a day short so we can hit Wilmington on the way home! My family oughta get a kick out of that. I'll likely never hear the end of it... upnorth
2 for Portland!!!! Where did you find venue info? I can't anything about Maine State Pier anywhere. We have been to Portland tons but never to the pier I believe the Maine State Pier is a big empty warehouse (dry dock?, boat storage?) kind of building. I've never seen a show there but it's not a real pretty venue. I'm about halfway between Portland and Lowell and I bought tickets for Lowell. I want to take the kids and I think they may be a have chance at seeing the stage there, plus it seems like a nicer venue.

RainDogToo
Can someone please help me out, here? I’ve been curious for a whole now how the whole gig poster thing works. I’ve been to only two Wilco Shows in the past 6 years and neither show had a gig poster. I am now going to my third show at the Wolf Trap in July and wondered what the odds are that I will finally be able to have a gig poster for a show I attended. Also, here are the top requested songs for The Wolf Trap show! Keep voting for "How to Fight Loneliness," please! Been wanting to hear that one live for so long! I guess it depends on whether they get someone to design them. I hope Wolf Trap has them. I like that Wilco is one of few bands that do individual show posters. u2roolz
Negative to Lowell tickets. It sucks in the sense that I can't collect my money from friends until I give them tickets in return. Oh well. But aren't they supposed to be "Collectible Tickets"? I assume they're going to look like baseball game tickets. Maybe that's the hold up. Kristofor PS A friend of mine just got a job in the marketing department at LeLacheur Park for the Lowell Spinners. I should ask her if she knows anything related to the show. Maybe she'll get some free tickets. Maybe not.

u2roolz
Hey Folks, I just got my "commemorative" tickets for Lowell in. A word of caution: be careful when you get your mail. The envelope the tickets were in were smaller than the normal ticketmaster envelopes and a typical postcard. It almost slipped out of my bundle of mail. The tickets don't feature any pictures of the band. But they are blue and have silvery stars on the corners. I'm not sure if that is the Minor League ticket look? Kristofor Edit: I forgot to mention that I spoke to someone who works at the Lowell Telecommunication Corporation (local public access channel). He said that the nearby Chelmsford public access channel was granted access to film portions of the show. And that he was pissed that Lowell dropped the ball, since he's a fan of the band. I guess he's going to try and work out something with Chelmsford to share filming duties. So as the date nears I'll post the sites for those 2 channels. I assume it will be a really brief clip and maybe interviewing fans outside to show that a big band came and played in Lowell. Pure Puff Piece.
Sparky speaks
Lowell tickets just got delivered by UPS a couple of minutes ago......Tickets are nothing special IMO. What is so commemorative about them? Not that I care. They look like normal tickets to me.
perfectecho
I'm actually a little disappointed with the Lowell "commemorative" tickets. Not because they are cheap or ugly or anything like that, but i've spent the last 2 weeks at work fighting with another company doing foil stamping and embossing work for some of the packaging we do, and then to come home and see the tickets foil stamped... Of course i'm joking about the anger, but it's an odd coincidence.
