tugmoose
Yanks and BoSox both 0-3. Is it too late to add a couple more wildcard playoff berths?
calvino
Well I thought I thought Guillen would have made it through at least one series before he got in trouble. Guillen gets a 5-game suspension for Castro comments - he should have added "and his beard" after his "I love Fidel Castro" comment, perhaps then he could have found a way to wiggle, wiggle out of his comment. http://www.chicagotr...0,1627106.story Happy that the White Sox are 2-2, thus far. Lammycat
Yanks and BoSox both 0-3. Is it too late to add a couple more wildcard playoff berths?I look at it as they are both only 2.5 games out of first place in the division with 158 left to play. Not bad!

If he still was in Chicago, I don't think the comments would have garnered all of the attention. But for frak sakes Ozzie you are in South Florida, where the Cuban population is only outnumbered by the neon signs in south beach. Ozzie just says whatever he pleases. As Rick Talander wrote in today's column: Guillen said that he loved Castro in 2008. Perhaps Miami (and the group protesting the Marlins, now) should have done a bit of research, before hiring him. I bet Guillen will be on the back page of the Chicago Sun-Times more often this year then the White Sox. I imagine, soon enough, the people of Miami will just learn to roll their eyes at anything that comes out of his mouth. I am not of supporter of the Castro regime - but I don't think he should have been suspended (though I completely understand why he had to be suspended). I would be more pissed that Guillen is missing the Phillies' series. http://www.suntimes....ro-in-2008.html

Also, in the absence of Jacoby Ellsbury, the Red Sox are taking applications for a part-time centerfielder. Begin your regimented training immediately.

opsopcopolis
that is great, out of the stadiums I have not yet been too it is at the top of the list. I love it. I mean the old one was a piece of history and a beautiful stadium, but the new one is very nicely done.
KevinG
I know they suck, but I want to go to the Pirates' stadium. That place looks awesome on the tv. I remember I was a friends house who had a huge high def tv and high quality surround sound and we were watching the the Cubs v Pirates at PNC. It had been raining and the game was delayed so there were what seemed liked 5 people in the stands. But watching it it felt like you where there hearing the rain and the few people left. It does look like a great stadium. I have been to a dozen or so big league parks in my time and for overall baseball experience one of the nice stadiums I have been too has to be Kauffman Stadium in KC. Sure the Royals are terrible, but it is one nice park.
