Yeah - it's not playing at the same theater that I was going to see it at on 20th, but there is still plenty of theaters in the Chicago area that are carrying it. Seeing rock movies in theaters is a pretty cool experience, my first rock show in a theater was the Stones' Let's Spend The Night Together. On another note it the 40th Anniversary of their April Filmore East run - listened to Ladies and Gentleman's disc 3 today.

Perhaps I will make it to the next showing. From Dead.net

Nels Cline, Tim Berne and Jim Black To Release Live Improvised Album
calvino replied to Analogman's topic in Just A Fan
Kinda thought the same thing when I read uncool2pillow's post. -
I didn't make it to the movie. Glad you had a good time, HungryHippo. Only a spacey instrumental jam part of He's Gone was in the film. It was the music right after the nitrous scene and before Morning Dew. I only know this because it is in the DVD credits; I could see why one would thought He's Gone was not played. The 2 DVD Remaster of the Movie is really good. Lots of great extras.

That should be a good one. I wonder what label it is going to be on: Berne's Screwgun, Zorn's Tzadik, or other. -
Congrats. Looks cool.

A-Man posted the Dime link in the In A Future Age forum.

Hyde Park Records has a new owner as of a few months ago and he let go of all the previous clerks, which is a bit of shame. One guy in particular was pretty cool.
-
I think A-man was talking about resellers, not the label owners themselves.

Just found out that my local record store (Hyde Park Records) is actually participating this year and having live entertainment. Typically the record stores in my neighborhood do not participate. When I moved here, 11 years ago, there were 4 record stores - now just one. Of course I don't have a record player, but I guess it would be fun to check out anyway. I forgot that a new record store (Groove Store) opened up the end of last year, it mostly sells LPs, so I haven't ventured over there yet. Saw this on another board. 40 Sad Portraits Of Closed Record Stores

I am hoping to catch the show, too. The opening cartoon should also be pretty cool.

Good interview/song.

U of C students are not the most sociable people and also I don't think one could blame Sue for wanting to get out of Madison, that night. For the most part, I don't think I encountered many problems at Wilco shows; never been to a DMB show.

The wife and I watched this a few nights ago, enjoyed it, too. Good flick - Bill Murray's character was great.

There was usually a garbage can right by the sound board.

The below is a pretty cool story.

I saw them on that tour, too. Pretty decent show, from what I remember. The shed I saw them at was pretty empty, though it was at the horrible Tinley Park World Music Theater, so I do not blame Yes, particularly.

Speaking of over-dubbing video footage with audio footage, I recently found out the 1971 Massey Hall DVD footage was from a different show. I don't remember hearing about this when it came out, though I am sure it was discussed. Still enjoy the dvd/cd, though.

With all the discussions of the crowds at the latest Tweedy shows, that U of C show was, by far, the quietest Tweedy show I've been to. I think the audience source at the Owl site was taped by my friend. We had perfect seats for taping.

Snow greets Sox, Guillen: 'Very stupid to play in Cleveland' (Trib. Link) I thought the NBA line was a bit funny. The Yankee/Tiger game looks pretty brutal, too.

I didn't know it was theirs until I read your post.

Really like the Tomorrow Blues tune.
-
Yeah, I am downloading it this a.m. Looking forward to listening to it.

Flip flop your World Series prediction and you would have mine.
