  1. I think you mean 2/26/05 at the Kalamazoo State Theater. http://wilcobase.com...p?event_key=835 It was great show...I may have spent a little too much time at the Bell's Brewery before the show, though.
  2. It's up on Dime http://www.dimeadoze...s.php?id=368642
  3. I couldn't get through interview, but, yeah, from my experience with Hawaii, the interviewer sounded normal.
  4. I heard them open for Iron and Wine at Pritzker - they did sound good. The wife and I enjoyed their set and meant to seek out their stuff - then of course, we didn't. Thanks for the reminder.
  5. I think it would have cool to have been in Berlin to see the gig, even though the gig did not turn out so well.
  6. Nice interview. Thanks for the link.
  7. Thanks for the review, bbop. Hope you enjoy your stay!
  8. Never watched the Bragg/Wilco DVD. I guess I should at least rent it. Definitely will get an all CD deluxe addition.
  9. I bet the doorbell was broke by the end of the show. Though I am not sure if switched his guitars as much back then as he does now.
  10. Bennink is one of my favorite performers to watch - amazing guy.
  11. Perhaps this brought on his disdain for meat...though he looks a bit happy and high as a kite.
  12. Off the top of my head - My first Stones show in 1989, an opening with a "canned" Continental Drift then into Start Me Up. I was about 20 rows back in the center - seeing Richards take a b-line to the front of the stage was pretty cool.
  13. I don't remember reading or hearing about that when he played Wrigley this past weekend. Even to me (a vegetarian) this seems a bit extreme.
  14. It's nice to see Mark Teahen gone - what a bust that was.
  15. Perhaps I should be embarrassed, but I just picked up the 30th Anniversary deluxe addition. Haven't listened to this since the early 80s. Lots of REO was played around my house in the late 70s/early 80's - dumb older sisters. Should be fun to hear it again.
  16. Well, of course. Chicago Tribune/Reuters Link
  17. I think the story is just what the video depicts. I think the video of the woman grabbing the ball happen a few days before the video of the "selfless" kid. Two opposite stories in the same week, so to speak.
  18. The management, label, and publicist (don't forget, the band) were profiting from her - why would they want her to die? The drugs and alcohol were hindering her from making more money - they all had vested interest in her getting help/well.
  19. Listening to another audience show this weekend - 6.24.70. Someone uploaded all the sources (including the NRPS sets) - what a long day/night that must of been. Garcia's pedal steel is pretty prominent during the New Rider's sets.
  20. That's a shame. I did catch her at a Lolla - she was a bit out of it (and came on late), but her band was great.
  21. I just find it dopey that they bill it as: "The Wilco “loft”, Jay Bennett v. Jeff Tweedy, and the saga of Yankee Hotel Foxtrot". I just noticed that the tour is focusing on the years between 1980-2002, so it makes sense.
