I think I only listened to the 2nd disc twice or so.

My kid will be 2 next month and he has already been to one Wilco show and a Tweedy solo show - Gotta start em off young (plus it's sometimes tough to find a baby sitter .)

Holding out to listen until I get the cd (I don't why). Definitely will try to catch the Vic show - the only time I saw Malkmus and the Jicks was at the Vic a few years ago - great show.

I tried a few times to get through the review and it didn't hold my interest. I probably will try again, though - perhaps.

I am pretty bad at sticking with reading one book at a time, so I will put down 1919 for a week or two and go onto another book. Each time I go back to the 1919 book, it takes me time to go back into the book to figure out the character's relationships again, which is why it is taking me so long to get through it. When I saw your post, I thought I mentioned that I was reading USA in this thread and I did a search and found the post from around February. I didn't realize it was that long ago. While reading Dos Passos' Trilogy, I happen to watch Warren Beatty's Reds movie - good companion

I am just about done with Book 2 - think I am going to take a break for bit before I venture into 3. Good, interesting read. Like his style and form.

I think Wilco still has room to "grow" into a bigger fan base. I don't know if they are ready to sell out Madison Square Garden (by themselves). They played to an non sell-out crowd at UIC Pavilion a couple years ago and that was in Chicago, granted it was a 2nd night of a two night run. I wish them all the success that they can muster up. I am sure Tweedy will still play solo shows at small, out of the way places, like he always has been.

I couldn't get through interview, but, yeah, from my experience with Hawaii, the interviewer sounded normal.

I heard them open for Iron and Wine at Pritzker - they did sound good. The wife and I enjoyed their set and meant to seek out their stuff - then of course, we didn't. Thanks for the reminder.

I think it would have cool to have been in Berlin to see the gig, even though the gig did not turn out so well.
