Jazz Aspen Snowmass Link Looks like it should be a hell of weekend. and now the pitch...
-
Like the tune - don't mind hearing it at pretty much every show, it stills makes my booty shake all the same.

Keith Urban's version of Tumbling Dice - really liked this version. Pretty straight forward but Urban (and band) played great and seemed "into" it. Nice to see Chuck Leavell. I like the low opening notes to Urban's guitar solo. Shout out to Nashville was appropriate, too.
-
Green Day's version of Rip This Joint - I thought it was good. Taj Mahal's version of Shine a Light - didn't work for me (did like the outro guitar solo)
-
All the above is correct - Richards did say that.

I think that was the best band Dylan ever played with (that includes The Band). Each night they put on a different show and it usually always sounded inspired and great.

Saw a preview - it does look interesting. I like the premise; especially since my first kid is 7 months. I would enjoy seeing the raising of a kid from difference parts of the world.

Thurston Moore and Lee Ranaldo. Richards and Wood (1975-1982) Good call on the Dave Murray and Adrian Smith. I suppose Glenn Tipton and K.K. Downing should be mentioned, too.

Happy Birthday, Lou.

Here is a pretty neat link that has lots of Dick Latvala "best of" lists. Also has pages of his note books, that was discussed earlier in this thread.

I guess Green Day will be on Monday (5/10) - I always have been a sucker for Green Day. Hopefully they don't disappoint. I don't the mind the new Plundered song. I would have preferred them not to mess with it, but I am just happy they are finally releasing some of this stuff. Here is the official video of Plundered my Soul. I do really like the video.

Thanks for the link. Anybody catch this at the theaters? It looks fantasic.

Hasn't he always, though?

Here is a ESPN link. It looks like the average age is 28 or 29. I can't find a date on the link, though, I am assuming it is currant data.

I thought it was pretty funny.

I have all but the last three. I should have gotten the last 71 one. The 68(2.2) and the 74 (2.3) shows, I think are my favorites. Though I like them all. I kinda like the idea of this Road Trip series, but complete shows are good, too. I got the new DVD yesterday and will be watching it tonight.

I am listening to a show from 11.9.96 - Great recording with a version of Dreams with Haynes sitting in. He sings the last verse, too. It about 17 minutes or so long. While searching around Bt-Etree I came across this: I wonder if any of the Crowes sat in with Wilco. Bt. link

I haven't seen them since 94. They are playing at the Chicago Theatre this time around. Definitely will try to catch this, though I have said this for the last 2 or 3 times the passed through town.

I not too happy about the hiatus. I was just getting back into the Black Crowes.

I will check it out. I did a google search with Cocker and Seven days and this youtube clip from ARMS Concert. Wood's solo and this version is great. -

Was just listening to Ron Woods's Anthology - The Seven Days from Dylan's 30th is on it, fantastic version with the Booker and the MG's. I haven't watched the 30th Anv. is a long time. I also remember that the PBS station in Carbondale played it a lot, which I was grateful for. -
