I got there on there on the final day of the run. I can understand this - it was quite the scene.

Yeah - I knew about all the above reasons - I just wonder what business adventure Betts was talking about during the time of his firing. He was kinda of all over the place during this segment, though.

Yes -- it was taped over the summer and prior to the stroke. Betts mentioned his high blood pressure in the interview, but said otherwise he was healthy --- it's sad that the high blood pressure more than likely caused the stroke. I can't remember when Butch's streaming (Moogis or something) was being developed. It seemed that someone ( it seemed that Dickey was implying it was someone other than Gregg) in the band wanted the entire band to get behind a business endeavor and Betts was not too keen on spending the band's money on it. This was a big reason why he was fired according to him.

Rather did a nice interview with Dickey -- it seemed like Dickey's main beef was with Butch --- he didn't really want to get in too deep into his firing from the band, since Gregg and Butch has passed away. Betts copped to having a temper and such and I wish Rather would have asked Dickey about Warren and Woody. Besides the firing, Rather didn't touch on their 89 and beyond reunion, which was a bit disappointing.

Definitely looking for to Vol. 30. (Also currently listening to 11/17/07 Ratdog show - decent show with Kimock - I think Karen was off this year due to health issues. Nice version of Dylan's Slow Train Comin')

Woody just needed to add cow bell and he would have had hit. Pretty cool to be able to hear that - shout out to all the tapers and tape collectors out there, so we can continue to hear stuff like this. Wilco seems to have gotten the 'drunk vibe' feeling in their version, too. -
Ha! It seems that many probably believe that he belongs more in the Rock and Roll Hall, then the baseball hall.

I guess I am happy for the Cure ---- will be interesting which members will be officially inducted. The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Class of 2019 has been revealed, with seven inductees slated to join the Rock Hall ranks next year: The Cure, Def Leppard, Janet Jackson, Stevie Nicks, Radiohead, Roxy Music and The Zombies.

Man, Jay seems kinda sad in that video - though that's might be the way he is. That whole 'you can't take this stuff with you when you go.....' Just read over on the Hoffman board that a new Son Volt is coming out next years - looks interesting. I haven't listened to their last one in a while - need to give to give it a spin. Also just saw that they playing a New Years Eve show in CO -- imagine how that countdown is going to be??? 10-9-8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1 Yay - happy new year, everyone... Actually it may be a nice, relaxing show with a sprinkle of rocking.

Maybe if he changed it to The '4 Years' They Drove Old Dixie Down - I'd like it better. (Technically it took 3 days less than 4 years - never realized that the Civil War dates were so tidy and concise - Apr 12, 1861 – Apr 9, 1865)

I think that's the problem with their take on The Night they Drove Old Dixie Down - it always seem to plod along. The version of Moonlight Mile on that 3/6/76 show seems to hit right mixture of 'drugginess' - the harmony singing is great and Keith really shines.

Yeah -- the way people ( like Lammy - I kid) are talking, the HOF is meaningless now because Baines got in. Kinda crazy. I always enjoyed watching Lee Smith pitch, too. I am sure Reinsdorf and La Russa did a lot of lobbying for Baines.

Listened to the below show this morning via gdsets.com. From the get go with Tore Up, Garcia's guitar playing is especially good - some great rocking, while being bluesy, playing . Great set list. I never cared for their take on The Night they Drove Old Dixie Down - regardless of what era of JGB is playing it. Though I always have been a huge fan of the original version. Man, people are sure upset about Baines getting into the HOF. I guess I can see their point - but I am happy for him. I remember in the early 80's trying to hit lefty, so I could hit like him -- never was really successful, but when I would connect it was usually a screaming line drive. Baines and Ricky Henderson were my favorite players growing up - complete opposite personalities.

Great Bears game last night -- man the defense looked amazing. Hopefully, Trubisky was just rusty from having 2 weeks off.

Yeah - House of Cards was a complete waste. The wife and I sat down to watch another episode one night and realized the season only had 8 episodes. We watched the 8th one about a week prior, never realizing it was actually the last episode.

I could have swore I was at a 90's Dead Soldier Field show and during space they played some Marv Albert announcing 'he shoots and scores' bits - this would have been during the 1st 3 Bull championship run (91-93) Can't seem to verify that via google, though.

I don't think I ever heard him do a game ---- though 90% of the time I watch football, I have the volume on the TV off and have music playing. Football announcers bug me for the most part.

I think the Bears will pull out a win in at least one playoff game --- guessing it will come down to how Trubisky handles the playoffs. Man, Cutler was insufferable...

Yeah - my brother-in-law is pushing 60 and is die-hard Viking fan - I enjoy ribbing him, but I do feel bad at times. His garage is decked out with Viking stuff - it cracks me up every time I venture up there for a visit. I look forward to the Rams/Bears game - hopefully the defense rebounds a bit and Trubisky comes back strong. Wish it was a noon game, though - not a big fan of night games.
