Yeah, after Young was replaced by Steve West, they've been set. Much as I'd love to see Gary back in the fold, the only way he's getting into those shows is by buying a ticket.

Forever Young has been in that Pepsi/NFL commerical all season. He's one of the few artists I can think of that's big enough to do it, that hasn't yet, but I am not sure how he'd work in that environment.

I think they struggled in the beginning because their original drummer, Gary Young (who better be involved with this reunion in some way) never bothered to learn the songs, and then towards the end I think SM hated everybody and they weren't really rehearsing. But some of the boots I have from 1994-1997 aren't too bad. --Mike

. Coldplay, R.E.M. The Police are all logical candidates, but I think since it's in Indianapolis next year, it might be time for Mr. "This is Our Country," himself, John Cougar Mellencamp to get the nod. Also Dylan seems to obvious that it has happen within the next couple of years. --Mike

Great idea, Beltmann. You've already listed a lot of my favorites. Hal Ashby immediately jumps to mind, probably because I watched Coming Home a few weeks ago. I have always admired Altman's use of politics in his works, and Pakula's work on All The President's Men is worth a nod. --Mike

Edit: Actually every Oasis album other than Definitely Maybe and Morning Glory qualifies.

While it isn't exactly good or anything, it does fit along side quite nicely with the equally stupid rock videos VH-1 was playing in the late-nineties. Though the song would standout, I could kind of see the video fitting in a Oasis-Ben Folds Five-Harvey Danger after midnight run. --Mike

Actually it was the first record I thought of when I saw the thread title, and I even like WTA more than Sky Blue Sky. --Mike

Brian: I'm in a rut. Nothing thrills me anymore. I mean, I can't even think of a reason to get off the bed in the morning. Dr. Kaplan: Really? Brian: You want to know how pathetic my life is? I've seen that Behind the Music with Leif Garrett 18 times. [cut to Brian watching "Behind the Music" and mouthing the words] Friend: Hey uh, hey, Leif. It's been a while. Leif: Too long, man. I'm so sorry about everything, man. I'm so... Friend: You ready for a bombshell? You saved my life that night. Leif: But-but I was driving. Friend: I was on a road to destruction, man. The ac

I am ridiculously excited for this thing. It looks like they're doing everything they can to prevent it from leaking (no advanced copies were sent out).

I did skip over Helter Skelter for like the first year I had the White Album, suffice to say I'm pretty fucking neurotic. --Mike

Hopefully they'll get a quarterback of the future either by trading for Donovan or picking up a better option than the Rosenfields/Jackson combo in the draft, though I'll never say never Favre probably only has a year left him if he comes back. I don't see them winning a Super Bowl with Chilly honestly, but the if the Celts can win it all with Doc Rivers anything is possible. I feel for you dude, I have been on your end of some nasty loses like that with my college team, WVU. The words "Neil" "O'Donnell" still haunt me to this day, but as a Steelers fan I have been pretty spoiled. --Mike
