I actually have a moog modular synth on my lap top and reason at school. But I want something REAL.

I went out the day it was released and tried at the Best Buy near Surrey Central but they didn't have it, so I tried the (bigger) HMV at Metrotown and they had one copy, which I snagged. Try Scratch, they'll probably have it. p.s. highlife is awesome.

Yeah that's my problem with the MicroKorg, it's all dance stuff. I think there's a huge market out there for affordable analog synths but no one seems to be trying to tap into it.

I need a keyboard instrument.. I'd really like to find a Rhodes but I don't think that's going to happen anytime soon so I am thinking about getting a synth. I've narrowed it down to the Roland SH-201 or the Alesis ION. Does anyone have any experience with either of these? I'd like to hear some opinions before I go out and buy one.

I use to get Harp all the time but I haven't in like a year. But I read p4k and Tiny Mix Tapes daily.

I really like the studio version of ELT, they synth sounds great, it's just a really rockin, summer, song. I don't think it translates well on the solo versions, not like some of the folkier Wilco songs. I like the production, I think it's a great example of how protools can be fucking GLORIOUS. I think if The Beatles were around these days, they'd be experimenting in a way a lot like Summerteeth. That's my 2 cents.

Well, for guitar G is the best key, it is open and easy to play in and easy to sing in. On piano I prefer C though (duh). I like the augmented and diminshed chords the best.
