I still have my tour program from the R.E.M. UP tour, which coincidentally was my introduction to Wilco. I picked up a copy of the tour program since I knew I would miss this tour . However, I was grinning when I read the Tweedy family gabfest. That was enjoyable.

Jeff covered my favorite Roseanne Cash song with Golden Smog way back in the 90's, "Seven Year Ache"

I haven't heard the album yet (I'm kinda slow on new releases), but I do know it was produced by John Paul Jones. She also happens to share a record label with Wilco.

I'm really excited about the Mono Box set (I already have the entire catalog as it was initially released on cd), and since Mono is the better mix, I will probably skip the stereo remasters except for Let It Be and Abbey Road, which are not available in mono, apparently. However, it really bugs me that the box sets are not available yet for preorder, but they are available for preorder in the uk. does this mean that the box sets will only be released in the uk? i'm guessing at some point they'll at least be available on ebay.

I totally dig the camel on Glenn's drumhead!

Where is this supposed members area? There is also supposed to be a new podcast, but the link just brings me to the Woody Guthrie download page. Am I just overlooking something right in front of my nose?

I'm not particularly excited about the beginning section of the song. The last couple of minutes with all of the fancy guitar work is worthy of a face melt.

If you listen closely, there's a backward message there as well...when played in reverse, it says "Satan is not chrome, but he is red!" I knew it! -
So where exactly does Christian on the island fit into all of this? Is he supposed to be representative of human nature/redemption?

I've heard a rumor that through some space-time plot that Leonard Nimoy will be making an appearance on Lost.

Forget Hurley, the Camel is definitely the variable on Lost!

Reckoning was my favorite album, no hesitation. If my memory serves me correctly, Bill Berry's drums were prominent, er "punchy", in the original mix, which brought out the pop sound on the album. I'm excited about a remix of this. I wonder if the live show on here is the bootleg commonly known as "Ballroom Dancing"?

Seeing the Dead on April 15 in C'ville. Can't wait!

Hopefully they'll offer it with 5.1 surround sound.

Wilco did a goth version of Heavy Metal Drummer in January of '03. I think it was at the Fillmore in San Francisco. Its a riot to hear.

A couple of weeks ago I pulled out the Strokes first record and The Rolling Stones Hot Rocks.

Thanks for sharing this. It should go well for my staff christmas party.

I was actually listening to this album today in the car. I had heard about this group a year ago from a coworker but never really paid much mind to listening to any of their albums. After their dvd came out, I decided to give it a try and got the Virginia EP as part of a combo. I really liked what I heard on the Ep so I decided to try out Boxer. I picked it up yesterday, along with the new James record and started listening to it today. I usually don't pay much attention to lyrics, but am much more interested in the cohesive sound of a song and how it makes me feel at the end of the song.

I particularly like the demo version of Pieholden, with mostly just the acoustic geetars.
