It was a close game, so, in my mind, it was a good game. The Rams offense kind of stunk it up, but their defense kept them in the game. I'm not a big car guy, but I really want the Audi E-Tron and the new Toyota Supra now. So if any of you want to donate to my go fund me, PM me.

Having recently seen They Shall Not Grow Old, this makes me very, very excited. https://www.independent.co.uk/arts-entertainment/films/news/peter-jackson-beatles-documentary-let-it-be-paul-mccartney-john-lennon-split-a8753981.html

No school for me tomorrow.

Probably an altitude thing.

It's also popular at my middle school, though cheating leading to fights (mostly verbal) is pretty rampant. I always enjoyed a good game of tetherball. I had my downward swing to force the ball up on the other side down just right.

I watched Hulu and was glad to see the interview with him. If you decide to watch it, play this drinking game: Drink every time he pensively bites his lip.

Connor Oberst and Phoebe Bridgers
uncool2pillow replied to lost highway's topic in Someone Else's Song
They were on CBS Saturday Morning this morning. I must say I appreciate Oberst as a backup vocalist a lot more than lead. I thoroughly enjoyed it. -
My thoughts are, "I'll just put on Stillwater if I want to hear Stillwater."

I had a snow day yesterday and watched 22 July on Netflix. Very good!

Can't remember the last time I listened to this.

Great song.

I know there are a lot of big baseball fans here and I like baseball well enough. The NFL, for all its many, many faults, puts out the most entertaining sports around. People talk about its popularity declining due to concussions, kneeling, etc. Last year, 4 or 5 of the top five shows watched on TV were football games. A regular season NFL game will trounce most other sports' playoff games in ratings.

Fastest I've read a book in a while. I really wasn't sure I'd love this book the way I did. One of my favorite rock memoirs. The last chapter seemed to be tacked on to tie together some loose ends, but other than that, fantastic! I loved including the WARM lyrics because you can see clearly how the songs were inspired by the book. Also, someone mentioned earlier on that they wished there had been more about John. I really appreciated the credit he gave to John for holding the new lineup together while he was in rehab.

I don't know the last time any of you listened to this classic. The last track could certainly be about 45.

83 pages in and I am liking this book way more than I thought. Interesting, surprising, or humorous anecdotes on nearly every page. His awful bike accident, an accidental encounter with his class reunion, seeing the Replacements opening for X while penned in a teen section of the club...

Just started the book last night. Just the introduction. I can't believe no one has posted the amazing video he references in it. Watch it all, but focus on the bassist at 1:35.

This serves as a reminder that I'm getting too fat for mine.

I used to have this on cassette recorded from my brother's vinyl. I ended up buying it from Twin/Tone. They just burn you a CD and send it out. I think it's such a gem. Nearly every song tells a story -- beautiful, absurd, often both. So glad I have it (hopefully) permanently now.

No thank you. He's older than Biden. He'd be 79 at his inauguration.

Starting a new thread... Elizabeth Warren was in my home state of Iowa this weekend. The caucuses are always interesting. I have been a Republican most of my life, and an independent much more than a Democrat. That all changed in 2016. 2020 will be my first caucus as a Democrat. The process is quite different and I am excited to check it out in about one year. In the meantime, I want to support the candidate that has the best chance to defeat Trump. Is that Warren, O'Rourke, someone else. Biden is awfully old. Iowa wields way too much power in this process. Influence me to get your share of

I get you. I feel the same way. Rock will come around again, I think, I hope. But sometimes I think Neil Young was wrong.
