  1. Good Point. Limbaugh and Hannity can feed off either one.
  2. I'm guessing the people paying his salary are counting on an Obama victory. Limbaugh was actually entertaining (IMO) during the Clinton years. It's always easier being funny while taking shots at the people in charge, just ask Jon Stewart. Limbaugh has made me do nothing but cringe in the past decade or so.
  3. I tried to upload an old MP3 to muxtape, but it didn't recognize it as an MP3 (??), so I uploaded on my teacher page. It won't be up long since storage is limited. It's a friend of mine and I about 22 years ago (aged 16) playing Chicago's 25 or 6 to 4. It's very strange. We had never heard the real song! I think it's pretty funny, but maybe it's a "you had to be there" kind of a thing.
  4. You must not be familiar w/ the duties of a vice president if you think Jeff Tweedy holding the office would be reason enough for Wilco to go on hiatus.
  5. Said Red Molly to James that's a fine motorbike A girl could feel special on any such like Said James to Red Molly, well my hat's off to you It's a Vincent Black Lightning, 1952 And I've seen you at the corners and cafes it seems Red hair and black leather, my favorite color scheme And he pulled her on behind And down to Box Hill they did ride Said James to Red Molly, here's a ring for your right hand But I'll tell you in earnest I'm a dangerous man I've fought with the law since I was seventeen I robbed many a man to get my Vincent machine Now I'm 21 years, I might make 22 And I don't mind
  6. Hey! I spent the Bicentennial 4th of July on Gull Lake. As a kid we vacationed at Grand View Lodge. We went back there in 2001, holy cow is it nice now.
  7. I've always thought Iwo Jima Memorial was the best view of the city and that I'd love to live in one of those condos behind it. Did you notice that's where Charlie Wilson lived in the movie Charlie Wilson's War? For my 4th, we're debating whether to keep our 3-year-olds up for fireworks. I'm afraid my daughter wouldn't like it. Loud-flushing toilets scare her...
  8. I will assume that you're being humorous despite no . If Obama's faith-based initiative is really pandering (and apprently the Christian right does) it's bound to fall flat, as this article shows. I have a huge amount of respect for the man openly supporting gay rights issues.
  9. I couldn't get an audio file from borders.com to play on WMP 11 while using FF 3. I thought it might be an issue w/ Borders because they've redone their Web site. Maybe it's a Firefox issue.
  10. Yes, but not as exciting as "Breach", another based on a true story spy thriller which came out around the same time. Chris Cooper is amazing in it.
  11. I have constitutional, though not moral or ethical, issues with faith-based charities getting gov't $$. I don't think that Obama is pandering so much as he has witnessed, probably through Rev. Wright's church, how effective people of faith are at helping ALL people. Yes, there a faith-based charities that discriminate, but there are many that are open to people of all beliefs, they just want to help because that's what their belief tells them to do. Golden rule, love thy neighbor, etc., etc. If the SC says there are constitutional ways to fund faith-based charities that help all comers, m
  12. I think my next read might be Shelby Foote's CW narrative.
  13. As someone who self-identifies as a conservative, I feel like suing these morons for dragging us all down to their moronic level. True libertarian-style conservatism is dead.
  14. 2 Star Wars items: 1) Check this out! This guy has too much time on his hands. I discovered the site several years ago after NPR did a report on his "jet-powered beer cooler". There's a link to that on the same page. 2) Does anyone know of a place online to play the original Star Wars arcade video game?
  15. I use the search bar (in the upper right) quite a bit, but would often like for my searches to open up in new tabs. I can't find a way to do that. Any know if you can?
  16. (And his Mother Called him Bill, if you can't see the writing on the image) I like this one because, seeing as it was recorded in the 60s, the sound is terrific, and there is some phenomenal swinging as well as some excellent playing on slower numbers.
  17. I TOTALLY forgot jazz! Agghh... Miles Davis Quintet - Workin', Relaxin', Steamin', Cookin' Charles Mingus - Ah Um, Mingus Mingus Mingus Mingus Thelonious Monk - Monk's Music, Brilliant Corners Sonny Rollins - Saxophone Colossus
  18. Downloaded it today. Seems to be working fine so far. Thanks for the tips on the add-ons. I esp. like the foxmarks idea.
  19. Josh Rouse, they collected dust for too long.
  20. I'm not wanting to go to 3.0 yet because of the problems w/ Vista compatibility previously reported on this board.
  21. I own and love them all, and many other obvious omissions, but I was hoping to get some underdogs on the final list.
  22. Just to clarify, that is most certainly not my POV.
