Well, lead on the one song anyway (and the New Multitudes song). Mostly lead was played by one fellow who was phenomenal (sorry don;t know his name; toured with Jay during 'solo' acoustic tour as well).

Nancy + Wilco was one of the most unexpectedly cool things I have ever seen in concert. -
Fox News vs Ryan Adams ... kinda surreal. Anyone catch this?

Saw SV last Friday and it was a damn fine show. The new songs sounded great mixed in with the older ones. Band is top notch; able to handle country twang and rockers with equal skill. Closing with Chicamonga was quite impressive (with Jay playing the screeching lead). Opening band Colonel Ford was just Son Volt minus Jay. Played some great classic country covers.

My apologies. I used that phrase from a position of ignorance. I withdrawal the remark. Their EQ was still bad, IMHO. -

What a great show. As you guys have said, Wilco is an amazing live band. I loved the somewhat acoustic / folky / roots-y setlist. New Madrid? Forget the Flowers? Casino Queen!! My only complaint was too short a set. I was hoping for a cool collaboration, but who could have guessed Nancy Sinatra? Amazing. Talk about nailing a song they rarely play, it seemed like the played Bang Bang and Boots every day for a year. Funny how JT flubbed the words to HMD since that was Nancy's request. So surreal, I don't blame him at all. Cinnamon Girl as a closer was phenomenal. MMJ was good. I have to -

I think Deadpool won Comic Con this year ... . . (naturally)

I was a huge King fan in early 1990s. While I appreciate the Dark Tower series, I have to say that The Stand is still definitely my favorite.

What did you think? I got tix for next month.

Well, it is actually tomorrow night but I am super excited to see Garrison Keillor and Prairie Home Companion in San Diego!

I was wondering this myself. I am not familiar with Ryan's work, but I gather it is country-ish, no? Maybe alt.country flavored covers/collabs. Perhaps Dead Flowers, James Alley Blues, The Weight, ...

Holy Shit, that was amazing. That guy does not get the credit he deserves.

Pardon me for not paying closer attention to previous threads, but ... WOW ... a new Loose Fur record! For me, that is more intriguing than a Wilco record (sorry about that).
