Watched Jumper last night from teh Netflix. Interesting premise, but disappointing.

I wanted to like both of them when they came out, but they still keep falling to the bottom of my list. I'll pop one of them in from time to time, but they're not growers. The new one sounds quite good. Very excited about that.

That is the one that continues to surprise me. We have a 16 YO daughter, and she will debate / argue with everything anyone tells her when she hears it. But she processes it, and you can always tell (later) that it sunk in. It still amazes me at times. Those are all really good, btw. To add a couple: Pick your battles. Consistency is key, but not everything is a federal case... Make sure that they feel comfortable bringing their friends to your home.

Songs you want played at your funeral

The Blind Boys of Alabama did a version of Amazing Grace set to The House of the Rising Sun. It's breathtaking. Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness. No one will have a clue who it is... they'll just think it's pretty. Love the irony. Mountain Bed is great, but people hearing it for the first time wouldn't get it. Same is probably true for Videotape, and Last Flowers. Those are really moving, emotional songs for me, but only 'cause I've heard them so much. I think On & On & On would be the Wilco song of choice. -

I, for one, am honored to be included in such fine company and will happily participate to the best of my ability. -
"only" 90. Took a day off of regular work to work in the yard. Started early, but it was most unpleasant by about 1. I'm quite done for the day. Shouldn't be this way in June.

All Songs Considered: About a Song: I Am Trying to Break Your Heart

Half of it's you, and half is me. -
I agree on that. I think it needed way more fiddle, especially since AB was there that night. It's such a fun ride on BT, and the live version just didn't seem to capture that. Maybe we just got spoiled with the live drone... but DIMD just wasn't quite the killer I was hoping for.

Which brings to light the question "how are we really going to be able to tell?"

Does anyone know if that's a young Truman Capote in that avatar from that guy who's not posting here any more?

I thought "Either Way" was from the "most recent".

On the positive side, I can't remember the last time that Kentucky actually kinda mattered in a primary....

MMJ on SNL this weekend.... -
Me too. I had to put it away for a couple weeks after a few listens, and then get it back out. It has definitely been a grower for me. The EP songs are actually kinda helpful to round it all out. Last Flowers is great song, even though it has the same "sound" as Karma Police. And there are a couple of remixes of Videotape that I like as well. So, yeah, it's a grower.

Crayon from pocket in dryer. Not a pretty sight. Increased the laundry diligence, though... -
Fortunately my wife seems to be OK with the latter.
