  1. You'll see me, obviously! Kyle, someone on the bon iver message board was looking for a ticket.
  2. Thanks for the set list, Paul. Has the weather been easy on you? I'm sorry I missed an entire concert's worth of Jeff giving Glenn shit--especially since it involved flora. Forget The Flowers first. Of course. The final trio of songs looks like it probably left the place rocking. Wish I could've been there.
  3. Glenn had his own show with Kronos Quartet at Zankel Hall. It's been discussed in another thread.
  4. HA! That's right! Link to previous thread? You're slipping.
  5. I agree that Blood Bank is probably the best Justin song I've heard. I can't wait for the release. And I also am not fond of Babys. It's a Letterman reference--one of his catch phrases. Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz....
  6. It was a nice show, and it was fun to hear Wilco The Song live. I also was unsure about Sen. Feingold's opening since he claimed to have some knowledge of Wilco and then explained that he liked serene music--what his staffers sometimes call "old guy music." Hmmmm....waiting for the political spin... He then went on to say that whenever a particular staffer was driving and controlling the music, the Senator would ask, "Now who's this?" and it was always Wilco. That's when he went on to mention the Mermaid Ave compilations and ISBR. The first 5 rows or so were reserved for staffers from the
  7. You know how late-night hosts will take photos of two celebrities and then morph them together to show the audience what their offspring would look like? Let's not do that with Wilco songs. I enjoyed both of them, but the one from the 26th appealed to me more on first listen. I look forward to hearing them live.
  8. I was thinking the same thing but then realized he probably meant, was he around for the Chicago appearances on Saturday night. Not that Milwaukee doesn't rock and whatnot. Go Brewers. (I'm a huge fan. I have a towel and everything.)
  9. I read that as Pat gleaning "moves" from Obama for future use. Isn't that sort of Mikael's thing? "Is he in the band? Is he not?" Is he in the conversation with Obama? Is he not?
  10. Oh, I would have loved to have heard "Won't Be Coming Home." The Smog song had to be from Another Fine Day or Blood On The Slacks, but I'm not even sure I'd recognize the title. Sorry! The 1995 incarnation--excellent. Let me know if you hear any specific dates!
  11. A bit of a delayed report on the Louris show in Milwaukee Friday night. He came on at 9:20, and his opening line was, "I have a lot of songs and not enough time, so I'm going to get started." Songs played (not in the correct order and not necessarily complete): True Blue Omaha Nights To Die A Happy Man Vagabonds D.C. Blues Everybody Knows (? Not sure on the title; it's a song he wrote with the Dixie Chicks--a really good song) New solo tune? don't know the name Listen Joe (before which he referenced his forthcoming Old Town shows in Chicago and calling "Jeff, to see if he was around."
  12. I'd love to hear Oh, Lonesome Me. Looks like a great day, and the weather appeared to be really nice as well. Have a great day today, and I hope you get to hear some more new songs.
  13. In the past I never had a reason to dislike Billy Bragg, but now...
  14. Yes, adorable! And the best of the prizes, really.
  15. Happy Birthday! Here's to many more happy, healthy years!
  16. I think Hate It Here is a good suggestion.
