I have read under the radar and I agree they are sometimes a bit too hipster. I just want a good mag that's not afraid to be "uncool". I mean if RUSH or somebody puts out a good album I want to know. A good CD is a good CD period.

Holy shit. I have so many memories of driving through South Dakota and elsewhere listening to Paul Harvey. He often made the endless drive through Iowa tolerable. I loved the "page 2" and whatever. Some of his "the rest of the story" were so interesting. He was an original. Actually my mother in law was on his show. She sprinkled some of her husbands ashes on main street here in town when they were paving the street. To this day I hear people talk about how the mayor is buried on main street. Anyway he did a good show.

Yeah, can't decide which of the 4 releases I Want to get. I don't need any fancy remix but I do want the unplugged DVD.

Kind of off topic but does anybody have a recommendation for a good music mag? There's Skyscraper, the big takeover, Q, Mojo, etc... Not sure which ones are worth a crap.

This is truly one of the most under rated albums of all time. Doyle Bramhall II, Charlie Sexton, Double trouble. Take my word for it (for what that's worth) if you have not heard it.

Like an idiot I turned the channel to watch it. He is sweating quite a bit, he's all red in the face and puffy. Maybe he's back on the oxy (or was that when he was skinny?) I'm expecting him to start rubbing his left arm soon because it's going numb.

I have heard good and bad (mostly good) about it so we will see.

Anybody heard Hold Steady's version of Atlantic City? Have not found it yet. I would imagine they would pull that off quite well considering how big an influence Bruce is on their sound.

Just finished Duma Key and I'm moving on to Dylan's Chronicles volume 1. Been putting this off until I can really savor it. Seems like the right time.

I think I agree with this. Patton really made the band more than Martin. I just heard they would record the songs and then Martin would drink some beer and put his parts on and heavy them up. Like any good band, the sum is more than the parts but I do love Mr. Bungle as well.

Judas Priest - loudest concert ever for me. He would go into that banshee wail and my ears would actually just check out for a minute. Could not hear right for a week. And I was like 16 when my follicles were fresh. Would love to see Dinosaur Jr. It's the original line up right?
