maybe Neil took the lesson he learned from Greendale to heart...seems like he pissed off a ton of people by playing the entire record and then an encore of a couple of hits. with the ticket prices he's set, he might be pandering a bit. that said, i have never had less than a stellar time at any Neil show i've been to. and i've never been comped a ticket either.

well that was a kick ass night. Steve Gunn is a major force on guitar. nice surprise to see Nathan Bowles on drums too; didn't even realize he played drums. and Lee & band ruled. tons of the new LP, done up right. and some choice covers "She Cracked" and two Wire songs "Fragile" and "Mannequin". and after the show he hung around at the merch and talked to any and all, signing anything and posing w/ photos.

i suppressed the urge to post the Grass Roots members.

unless you are his kids.

i went to a wedding where the bride's sister was married to Matthew Sweet.

don't downplay his ability to simultaneously consume cocaine and whores.

you could make an argument for Black Sabbath and Pink Floyd, too.
