i can testify to that. the 1st solo tour (great band, btw- tony maimone, anton fier, chris stamey) was pure emotion, rage, bile and bitterness. and i loved every second of it. -

U2 tour, early 90s...house lights are up, the PA is cranking out "Stand By Me" and slowly the band strolls out, member by member, starting w/ the rhythm section and finally the Edge and Bono, all slowly joining in on the song. very cool. the Jesus Lizard, Goat tour...packed, small club. apprehension in the air. "here comes dudley" is the first song, macneilly and sims laying down a sinister groove while denison splays spidery guitar lines all over the top. Yow slowly makes his way across stage, stops, and slits his eyes as he gazes across the room. soon, he's on top of the crowd, and the m -

they were pieces of cloth, tied together...kinda like ghosts for halloween decorations. rubber chickens could work, too. -

yeah my front element of my lens was covered w/ water...i had a hood on, but i was close enough to the stage edge that splashing droplets eventually found their way on to it. it was raining so hard i didn't bother trying to wipe it down. most of the time if you didn't have direct light coming into the lens you couldn't tell droplets were there. that shot was definitely a stroke of luck. -
that's the mountain goats board...i saw a PopTodd name in there and figured it was you. i'm in this room now http://turntable.fm/punknew_wave_19751990

i got front row seats for Sonic Youth on the Goo tour...went to the box office on my day off, no one was in line, and picked up 6 seats. that was awesome.

i remember camping out for U2 tickets in 84, for the Unforgettable Fire tour. we had a pretty good spot, probably ~50 people back or so. well, as the time drew nearer, people started coming in and hopping on/cutting the line and we couldn't do anything about it...the ticket seller didn't care as he was gonna sell tickets regardless of who bought 'em and by the time we got to buy our own, all the Providence seats were sold out and we had to go for the Worcester show. that sucked.
