8 records in for GBV was arguably my favorite, _Alien Lanes_...and he'd go on to make 8 more GBV records, and then a few dozen LPs under his name or other projects. and for anyone who's listened to Boston Spaceships, it's clear that he is still cranking out high quality stuff.

i just did comparison between the 128 rip and FLAC version, via headphones. not all that much of a difference, to be honest. the FLAC version was a bit fuller, for sure. but it wasn't black and white to me.

was thinking a mellow DBT song myself. very strong record, excellent recording quality. "capitol city" is the weakest track so far but it's not offensive by any stretch. let's hear some more Nels wigouts, though.

i didn't see the tour, but Mogwai opening for either Pavement or The Cure would have been great. in their career, those are the only two times they've been an opening band on tour.
