We are building a mini wall to knock down! And we are having the video from the old Alice In Wonderland cartoon projected onto us. We do nor have any inflatable puppets to bring along. There is a small bit of costume but nothing elaborate. No costume changes. We aren't that fancy. Haha.

It was sounding really great last night. The stuff he was doing on Young Man's Blues was incredible. What an epic show.

Kung Fu is seriously killing me. This record has been out for almost 2 weeks and I've yet to receive my pre-ordered vinyl copy. Anyone else kicking themselves in the ass over that decision to pre-order and do the $5 "cheap-ass/takes a month to get there" shipping? This internet shopping fad is seriously overrated. Next time, I'm just going to a record shop.

Wilco's Capitol City = Pink Floyd's San Tropez I actually think the Wilco song is the more psychedelic of the two.

Caught a replay when I got home from work. I just can't wait for this band to come to the west coast on this tour!!! I love how much the bass was rockin' in the mix of this cast. The bass line for I Am Trying To Break Your Heart was melting my face. So Good. The new songs sound great. It was cool to see them actually play Art Of Almost and get a different perspective on what is going on at various times in that song. The freakout jam at the end was super! Dawned On Me was one of my favorites on this as well. There is a lot of cool shit happening in that song, at any given moment.

I'm digging Message From Mid-Bar. I wouldn't really choose to replace anything on the album with it though. Edit: Speak Into The Rose is also very cool. Definitely has a Spiders vibe, as someone has already mentioned... Glad to have a couple more new tracks!

Here's a little Wilco related video. We did a nice little duet of Ashes at a recent acoustic show. This is my full band - Northern Strangers. This is how we like to end our shows most nights.

After our show my band played a bunch of the new album last night at Universal Bar and Grill in North Hollywood, while we were tearing down our gear.

I really liked the early acoustic versions of this song. The bass is what makes it so happening for me on the album though! and Nels' awesome guitar freaking out all over the place... of course.

Amen! After 4 listens I'm digging this record. The variety and texture is damn interesting all around! John Stirratt is a monster!

I don't even know where to begin... There is just so much happening on this record. I have officially pre-ordered my vinyl copy!
