  1. I'm hoping to hit Boston too, despite the fact that I really don't care for Harbor Lights as a venue. Anyway, looks like he played a pretty good set last night in NYC:
  2. That's interesting. If memory serves, they've allowed chairs/blankets for the last 3 SSFs, and for the first SSF Joe's Field was closed all day and a line began to form early in the afternoon. I much preferred the mad-dash to the front vs blankets/chairs being used as placeholders.
  3. You also should've stopped like 4 or 5 pages ago...
  4. Just finished listening. IMHO these are some of the best songs he's written in the last 10+ years. That 80s guitar sound isn't my favorite, but the songs themselves are strong. Can't wait for my vinyl.
  5. I think he mentioned the Whiskeytown book in a recent press interview, as I think I read that too. I (stupidly) ordered the new boxset. It is expensive, but after missing out on Life after Deaf I told myself I wouldn't second guess these types of purchases. There are so few artists I'd buy something like this for, I figured why not. Plus, having all of the PaxAm 7"s, the completist in me couldn't pass it up. I'm a sucker for some b-sides...
  6. Ryan's the guest on the most recent episode of Marc Maron's WTF podcast. They don't talk much, if at all really, about Prisoner. Ryan talks a lot about his upbringing and his relationship with his grandparents, the Whiskeytown days, a bit about his divorce. It's a good episode and it makes me hope that one day Jeff too will find his way into Marc's garage.
  7. I haven't yet! Been to quite a few breweries in VT and have spent some time in their beer hall in Boston, however. I'll have to make it a point to stop in next time I'm nearby. I always forget that they have that location.
  8. If I could spend my time at any Portland, ME brewery it would be Oxbow. Love their beers and taproom! I'm pretty sure John has posted an Instagram photo from their brewery up in Newcastle, which is cool.
  9. I got an email today from Songkick that the tickets have just been shipped.
  10. Vic benefit shows were announced on 1/26 last year. Curious if we will hear anything this month about shows in May...
  11. Really excited for this one. https://vimeo.com/196736852
  12. $450 ea for the good seats in Boston. I'll just leave this here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Evs5HjjL0PM
  13. Meh. Really wish they'd work with local New England microbreweries. Some of the best beer in the country is coming from NE and they pick Lagunitas... edit: Then again, much like the lineup, I'm there for Wilco & everything else is secondary.
  14. He's never going to make Heartbreaker again.
  15. Tough to imagine them releasing a proper live album when they Roadcase most of their shows. Then again, I probably listen to KT more than any of the Roadcase shows that I own!
  16. Ahh - I had no idea. That's a shame if true. I lucked into seats for night 1 in NYC and the girlfriend pulled some for night 2. Can't wait!
  17. Really surprised these weren't will call only. Especially in a market like NYC....
  18. Anyone care to share the ticketmaster pre sale code for Thurs?
  19. Yikes. That new album is bad. Listened in full and cannot imagine ever returning to it. Having amassed an absurd amount of live phish shows, I very rarely put on one of their studio albums. If I do, it's only every Billy Breathes or Hoist. I'm not sure how the die-hards view Hoist, but I have a soft spot for that one.
  20. http://solidsoundfestival.com June 23-25, 2017.
  21. Was hoping the Vic solo shows would see the light of day, but am very happy to have the two Seattle shows. I plan to give night 1 a proper listen this evening.
  22. Probably 40 or so people attended the listening party in Cambridge, MA. It took place at a bar/restaurant so I'm sure there was some spill over, but it seemed like most were there for Schmilco. I did not win. But I had a nice time.
  23. Night 1 on the left, night 2 on the right. Edit: woah. How do I shrink the image size? On mobile and it looks HUGE.
