  1. He may have hit the third rail (emphasis on may) by mocking a disabled journalist. But it could be that the fact the guy is a journalist (liberal media and all) means it won't stick.
  2. Did not remember "Color Me Impressed" being so spot on. I had remembered it as kind of all over the place. I clearly misremembered.
  3. Thanks for the heads up. Fun to watch. Good "Either Way". Now Jeff is going to play to folks in the hall who couldn't get in to the show.
  4. ^^^^I'm with you - it appears to be about the attention, not about being President, for Trump. I wonder if he is actually serious at all about being President, or if he is just having a great time saying ridiculous things. He may be on the same wavelength as this thread title - how many people/groups can I offend before my "support" starts to erode? Can I get seemingly every interest group mad at me (except maybe white, native-born Christian males), and still poll at 25%? Either way, Nate Silver tells us not to worry. I vote for Dolly Parton. Or maybe veterans.
  5. I am all in on Of Montreal. I know I am late to the party. They are so much fun to listen to, and seeing them live for the first time this fall sealed the deal. They are a band I will travel a few hours to see now.
  6. ^^^I was looking for a like button......
  7. That second set looks fantastic on paper. Or on my computer screen.
  8. From the snippet I watched of Cold Rain and Snow, Mayer's last few years of immersion in all things Dead paid off - he's got the chops and his vocal is pretty spot on, too. The energy picked up noticeably from PITB to Cold Rain and Snow, and it looked to be connected to the switch from Weir to Mayer as the main vocal.
  9. From Jeff's Twitter account: Happy 20th Ann. to Son Volt’s “Trace”, a great record that stands the test of time. JT
  10. That is a great scene with the gelato - I saw this a few weeks ago and wanted so badly to try the gelato, too.
  11. I learned a ton from reading this. Not a "great" book from a writing standpoint (repetitive, style is just ok), but so much history that I did not know. I had not heard the name Monroe Trotter since an African-American History class I took back in 1987 at UConn. It was interesting to see some of the same protest strategies used in 1915 that were used in the 50s and 60s.
  12. Why not go to the cities you like best? If your sister lives nearby, then play there. Makes complete sense to me. When I travel (for business or for fun), I often make decisions based on whether I like the city or not. A conference in San Francisco? Sounds much better than Oklahoma City to me (sorry, OK City fans). A meeting in Charlotte? I'll make that one since I have a brother who lives nearby. If a band likes a certain city's vibe, like a Portland, or a certain venue, like the Cap, then play there. I'd pick the places I'd like to go to, if I was in this rock 'n roll business. That said,
