Yup - that's what I've got. I did pick up the reissue of Tim because I only have it on vinyl. And the added stuff is pretty sweet ...

The new one? If so, how are the extras? If not, well, whatever, never mind.

Getting back to the list, why is there no #8? -
When I was growing up my dentist was in Kenmore Square and you could see the Citgo sign from the dentist chair.

Nice choice. I'm going to put this on right now.

Bob Mould in Husker Du's cover of Eight Miles High. He basically screams an entire verse towards the end of the song.

He sure made a fast recovery from all of those nagging injuries he had earleir in the season. Curt Schilling's take on Manny is interesting. As always with Schilling, consider the source ...

The latest Ryan Adams thread
Oil Can Boyd replied to Duck-Billed Catechist's topic in Someone Else's Song
The Boston Globe reports (although it's not in their online edition) that Ryan Adams is now dating Juliana Hatfield. -
I have found Blue Man Group's tribute Exhibit 13 to be oddly moving.

Yeah, I finally turned it off and went to bed in the 11th. As much as I like Mike Timlin, I don't think he's got anything left.

Well at least in one verse, the next line is "Not Like You ..."

Tell me about Soul Asylum live
Oil Can Boyd replied to IRememberDBoon's topic in Someone Else's Song
The first time I saw them (circa 1987) they said "we're probably not the best band you have ever seen but we are probably the loudest." They may have been right. The last time I saw them (circa 1991) was right before Grave Dancer's Union came out. I thought that they had seen better days and I remember telling my friend that it wouldn't surprise me if they broke up soon. Shows what I know ... -
What albums have you heard live in its entirety!
Oil Can Boyd replied to remphish1's topic in Someone Else's Song
I just saw that Robyn Hitchcock is doing a tour where he plays I Often Dream of Trains in its entirety. I gotta get me some tickets for that. -

Oil Can Boyd replied to remphish1's topic in Someone Else's Song
If we are talking about seeing a band play an entire album in order in one night (which I am not sure we are), I have seen: Husker Du - Warehouse Lou Reed - New York Magnetic Fields - 69 Love Songs (they did it over two nights and I saw it twice) Sonic Youth - Daydream Nation -
Sorry - having a little trouble with the pronouns. Who blew who (whom?) out of the water?

It's obviously available all over the place but the second set is part of the downloads for sale through dead.net. It's Volume 7. And it was a Thursday ...

Boy do I love this album ...

A solid early 1980s show. But more importantly (for me) the first Dead show I ever saw. Grateful Dead, Providence, 9/4/80 Feel Like a Stranger. Peggy-O, Cassidy, Dire Wolf, New Minglewood Blues, Althea, Looks Like Rain, Far From Me, China Cat Sunflower>I Know You Rider Samson and Delilah, Ramble on Rose, Supplication > Estimated Prophet > Eyes of the World > drums > The Other One > Wharf Rat >Goin' Down the Road Feelin' Bad > Good Lovin' U.S. Blues
