Welcome to the que. I'm in it too at # 242! The que isn't moving up too fast...

I bet we see a little more Being There than normal in the set at June shows leading up to Solid Sound if it wins the vote on Monday. That could be fun. I also wonder what stage set they will have at these shows. I don't think we've seen the foliage set outdoors yet...

Oh man. Wish you were coming this year. Would have been good to catch up.

So the Steven Hyden "interview" was great because Steve just took over and started telling stories. That intro was really painful to hear. I can't figure out why he does an intro and then repeats everything throughout the interview. And why does he say the word "band" so much. I guess I should post this in a Steven Hyden thread...

Thanks for the tip. I'll give that a listen. I love Steve Hyden's writing. The podcast is really sloppy. I kinda decided to bail on it even though I love the subjects. I'll check back in for this one.

John Stirratt made an unbilled (but hinted at) appearance in Boston last night at the Paradise for Hot Stove Cool Music. That's the rock show that benefits Theo Epstein's A Foundation to be Named Later. Last night's show was headlined by Eddie Vedder. John backed Eddie up on Aerosmith's Draw The Line. John performed at the same event at Metro in Chicago a few years ago.

15 studio albums must include Wilco/Uncle Tupelo/Tweedy albums but leave out Mermaid Aves, Golden Smog, Loose Fur. Seems like they should have included Loose Fur but why put a number on it anyway.

I was going to take Pat's word for it, but I found this as well "College Rock veterans Miracle Legion are coming to San Francisco for their first Bay Area concert in twenty years and is being hailed as their last ever, the final stop in a swansong tour" - http://thebaybridged.com/2017/04/27/final-miracle-legion-tour/

I love their bio: Iconic Wilco founder Jeff Tweedy started out in the Downstate Illinois alt-country band Uncle Tupelo and became one of American music’s most accomplished artists with a soaring combination of acoustic rock melodies and resonant poetry. This was achieved with particular brilliance on Rolling Stone’s #3 album of the 2000s—Wilco’s Yankee Hotel Foxtrot. In total, Tweedy has released 15 studio albums and expanded the impact of his creativity through TV appearances (Portlandia, Parks and Recreation) and recording projects with Billy Bragg (Mermaid Avenue series), Mavis Staples (p

Per Pat's instagram, he "might even get to sit in on a song or 2" at the Miracle Legion show tomorrow night (Friday 28th of April) in LA at Echoplex.

Setlist has been trimmed by 3 songs since opening night...

Totally agree. Heavy on the Wildflowers in that set. Surprised he has 4 songs from the last two albums in the setlist given their reception.

No. Just tonight (night 1).

Cool. I was wondering about that solo dynamic.

How was the show? I'm seeing night one in Chicago this week...

He left the first one early, but I thought it was because his wife was due and he had to get home.

Haven't seen this mentioned, but there is now a third European date in July at Cap Roig Festival in Palafrugell, ES on 7 July. 3 gigs spread over 7 days at this point.

Do we think Wilco is doing two typical sets this year? It seems like in the past by this time we would have known about the all request/acoustic shows. Right?
