The shows leading up to the Chicago show were promoted as Star Wars tour ("This tour supports of the release of the acclaimed Chicago sextet's Grammy nominated, Star Wars" their typo not mine) so we shouldn't be surprised if they continue to play a generous portion of those songs during those shows. Critics have the album. Steven Hyden has tweeted about it "really good" "a cross of Star Wars and the acoustic songs on The Whole Love" "spare & gutted, feels like a solo-is LP"

I hope A, think B and would be disappointed with C. There hasn't been much promotion for Schmilco! yet. I haven't seen a single interview. No promotion performances are lined up that we know of. It is an interesting approach.

One of the better Ryan interviews I've seen: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=trOE6fVLPPI

His head looks photoshopped onto the body in this one and I bet he wishes he wore a longer shirt. Cool item.

The buzz might be gone in a few months, but will our perception of the music really change that fast? I think if you like it today you will like it for at least a few years.

From Nels' Facebook page: "Dear world - It has come to my attention that, owing to a manufacturing snafu in Santa's summer jazz workshop, the physical release of my forthcoming double album called "Lovers" will be delayed - CD out on Aug. 19 and vinyl out on Sept. 2. >SIGH There will be a small heap of compact disc versions for sale and signing at the Newport Jazz Festival-NJF, where we will unveil several of these pieces on Sunday morning. For those of you not attending the festival, please be understanding and enjoy the full album digitally on Aug. 5 plus the songs released in advanc

You and Beltmann are thinking the same way it seems

Wolf Alice tonight. Love their album so I'm hoping they translate it well.

Yes, I would agree schm is doomed for the bottom of your list given its current chronological order.

Arcs were good last night. I liked the two drummer setup and having a mariachi band help out on a few tunes. I was surprised by how much this was the Dan Auerbach show - thought it would be more band like - but it worked. totally worked. Also, I walked into the venue right behind one Mr. Glenn Kotche.

Good to know. Should be enjoyable.

The Arcs. Not really sure what to expect.

Great book. Hope you like it. I didn't check out the tv adaptation...

30M = 30 million?? I heard it was a good show even if not sold very well.
-
What are the chances Eddie doesn't show up for some of these?
-
Think you mean too long for 1 LP?? I liked the length of Star Wars, but any length has been pretty good historically.

So we have the following LPs colors: Black Orange (Kung Fu) Pink (Indie US Stores including Bull Moose) Green (European) ---Edited the Bull Moose version---

Anyone seen any writing or production credits? I always find that interesting...

$.03 cheaper than Kung Fu too. I was wondering if they'd do something unique for indies. Good to see. Lots of options for collectors.

Rich was interviewed by Adam Corolla recently. The interview is posted on Rich's site right now. I thought it was a good conversation. Thinking about seeing him in Milwaukee this week. I've never seen him solo before...

They have named albums after two movies now...Being There and Star Wars. I'm ok with the album titles. Love this: "Twelve new songs and a vibe that Jeff Tweedy calls “joyously negative.”"

I went ahead an pre-ordered the limited orange vinyl. Just realized I never bought Star Wars (although I did buy one of the recommended albums that Wilco suggested in place of paying for it...Girl Pool). The weekly contests look fun. Did I miss the tote bag option?? August 30th winner (Signed guitar from the Loft): August 31st winner (22" custom Schmilco wall clock. These are made exactly like the originals and fabricated only with parts made in the USA. Featuring all steel and glass construction, this is a real neon clock that will last a lifetime.): September 1st winner (Awesome myster

Twin Peaks are opening the Chicago show. They are about at the same level of popularity as Pearl Jam, right?

You were holding out on us?? I wonder why it says Warner in parenthesis after the track name?
