  1. Whatever you do, don't watch it again to find out. Don't do it!
  2. Yes - I made the mistake of watching. Tony is in it.
  3. Great news. Maybe the Black Crowes disaster was the start of end? That blew my mind (hadn't listed to an album they reviewed).
  4. I've seen a couple comments regarding the tightness on the Monday clip. the entire movie is like that. Lots of shots from the pit looking up Jeff's nose or just way too close in on his guitar or face.
  5. Wilco - 31 Jeff Tweedy - 17 Black Crowes - 19
  6. Hopefully the bonus tracks aren't filmed from the band's feet like the rest of the movie. Felt like I was in the front row while watching the movie last night. With the exception of the soundcheck songs included.
  7. I went too last night. Great show. I was really impressed with the way he wove it all together. I will see him when he comes around again for sure. Great crowd for Todd too. It made me happy to see so many people at a show like that who knew a lot of the material. What was the name of the opening song (slim chance?)
  8. Indeed. Dare I say in a good way? I don't listen to Ten much and I think it could be the production. Might have to get this re-release.
  9. The magazine sucks but they can write something good every now and then. "nastiest version of"... and they answer the question about where ashes was recorded!
  10. That was the premiere. It played there for a few weeks after. I went to one of the shows and it was pretty empty. Great place to see a movie. Excited to see this there.
  11. I used to have a tape of them doing Casino Queen together. Name of the band on the tape: Wilcrowe
  12. The review isn't great. I don't see a cheap shot at Wilco, just Wilco knock offs...
  13. Understanding that they aren't doing it this year - keep in mind they could do it at a reserved seat venue such as the Chicago Theater. In which case there would be no need to wait in a cold line...
  14. I love this thread. Please tell me there are more crazy stories.
  15. I received the Sony Reader as a gift. Anybody know anything about it in comparison to the Kindle? Should I keep it or trade it in? I noticed that their books are more expensive at least...
  16. Did Todd really write this song? Was it ever performed?
  17. They opened for REM in 1998 which was pretty much all 15,000 seat outdoor amphitheaters. They are best in the GA 1-3K setting I think based on seeing them at festivals, sheds, reserved seating theaters, GA theaters and clubs.
  18. First review that mentions Nels Cline?
  19. I saw it in the Chicago Reader that Willie cancelled.
  20. Slash's love for Rocks has been well documented. Found this interview with James Hetfield (Metallica) today that I thought I should share: http://www.rollingstone.com/news/story/240...ames_hetfield/1
  21. David Fricke's 4 star Rolling Stone review is up. That guy can write a review! http://www.rollingstone.com/reviews/album/...inese_democracy
  22. The funny thing about the Brain video and article is that his drum parts were replaced by their new drummer...
  23. I caught Thursday's Chicago show. AC/DC puts on a really fun show if you like AC/DC. They sound great and Angus has a ton of energy. They added Shoot to Thrill into the setlist (without dropping anything) compared to the PA set. $100 is a lot, but I can't see them doing another tour after this one ends in 2 years...
