The records that I end up loving best are the records that challenge me as a listener. Wilco has consistently reinvented themselves. I find that A Ghost is Born has aged very nicely and Sky Blue Sky has really grown on me. I felt that SBS was bit sleepy and plodding at first, but damnit if it didn't open itself up after repeated listens. This Tweedy guy has got something in his bag.

It's discovering new bands like Band of Horses that keep me excited about music. I was going to once again combat my agoraphobia and take D-man to see them at the Palladium in Dallas earlier this month...but I fucked up, forgot the date they were coming and missed them. I really love this band. They, along with My Morning Jacket, the North Mississipps All-Stars and the Drive By Truckers are presenting a new face on 'Southern' rock that I can identify with.
