bjorn_skurj
Man! This is a lousy performance by the Bears and will make Leinart the toast of the sports shows for a whole week.
mountain bed
Of course, this means the Colts will have to lose next week. When they started out 13-0 last year, the hype got to be truly sick-making.
bjorn_skurj
Yeah, sometimes it's better to drop one early on. The 1985 Bears were beat only by Miami, in a Monday night game, if memory serves.

mountain bed
"If memory serves " It WAS the '80's...That was one hell of a team..probably kick the shit out of any team today.
Duck-Billed Catechist
That team was tougher, this team is a hell of a lot faster.
Col. Hapablap
un...freakin..believeable. Bears win. Did i just see that? Can anybody stop this team?
awatt
Holy crap! I turned the game off a while ago and the freakin Bears come back. Go Rex Grossman!! (Is he a Jewish boy? Damn good.)
John Smith
Grossman tried to stop them tonight, but failed.
Duck-Billed Catechist
He's not jewish, although last year a talk radio host was accused of preferring him to Orton because Grossman was Jewish. And Rex had a horrible game to the very end. He had nothing to do with the win.

Reni
good game or not - Rex Grossman is hoT Go Bears! That was fun!
Col. Hapablap
I think Grossman will be fine in the long term, but he was beyond shitty tonight. Then again, when your QB throws 4 picks, and fumbles twice, and still your team wins, it doesnt look like anything can prevent this team from winning.
OOO
Hot damn that was exciting. Bear down indeed.
cryptique
Obviously the Bears decided at some point that the only way they were going to win the game was to take Grossman out of the equation and do all the scoring on defense and special teams. The scary thing is, they can actually do that. I hope Grossman learns a lot from this performance (if it can even be called that) and doesn't have any more games like that. Also, the offensive line needs to get its shit a little more together, apparently. Of course, if Rackers makes that kick ... I really don't see the Bears pulling that one out in 48 seconds with Grossman at the helm. He was just too rattled by then. Anyway: It wasn't pretty, but I guess I'll take it. bjorn_skurj
Arizona coach Dennis Green was seething. Judging by his comments, he clearly didn't believe the Bears lived up to the hype -- or deserved to win. "The Bears are who we thought they were!" he said, yelling at the top of his lungs and pounding on the podium at his postgame press conference. "Now, if you want to crown them, then crown (them)! But they are who they thought they were! And we let them off the hook!" Green then stormed away.

We were lucky to go up against Dennis Green, one of the most consisent bad coaches in the NFL. Dennis Green always has built teams that are about as tough as vanilla wafers. Its not surprising to me in the least that the Cardinals folded tonight. Green coached teams always do. He didnt know how to build a defense in Minnesota, and the only reason he won at all was mostly b/c of Randy Moss and Chris Carter and a good offensive line. He's a bad NFL head coach of a historically bad NFL franchise. He really knows how to win too. When he was a college coach, he was part of that National Championship machine known as Northwestern. I think they lost 30 something consectutive games when he was there. This all leads me to my main question: What exactly does Dennis Green do for a living? Anybody know? He can say what he wants about the Bears. We really didnt deserve to win, but the Bears back it up come crunch time. Im still waiting for a Dennis Green team to do the same in our lifetime. chisoxjtrain
3. We were lucky to go up against Dennis Green, one of the most consisent bad coaches in the NFL. thats a very good reason. man, my floor (im in a dorm) went absolutely nuts. i also retract my earlier comment. i actually gained some respect for matt leinart; he had a hell of a game til the 4th quarter, and i think he has a bright future in the NFL

That guy has the goods. He was the only Cardinal who didnt do a Dennis Green Special and fold in the forth quarter. Even in that last drive, he took it right to the Bears and we were fortunate to win in spite of his effort.
Tenderloin
You know what the sad thing is? If this game would've been at Soldier, I would've been in the parking lot drinking HiLifes by the end of the 3rd quarter. Never say die.

Duck-Billed Catechist
Record-setting futility by the edge last night. Never has a running back had that many carries and still averaged under 2 yards per.
caliber66
Dennis Green is so fired! Every player on the Cardinals' special teams, and every player on the offensive line blocking for Edgerrin James should be fired before Dennis Green.
cryptique
I went to bed happy with a stolen win, but I woke up feeling like the Bears got exposed in a major way last night. Arizona definitely figured out something about the Bears' passing offense, and they got to Grossman mentally (as well as physically, in the first half especially). When he wasn't throwing ill-advised passes to Cardinals defenders, he was sailing the ball high over the heads of his receivers. His poise was broken completely, and I don't think he could have led a scoring drive in that game if he had unlimited time. It's pretty clear to me that the first Bears loss is now just a matter of time. I never bought into the "16 - 0" hype, but I was certainly quite impressed with Grossman and the offense over the first four games (last week, not so much). I think they'll probably beat the 49ers and Dolphins in their next two games (both at home), but then they're on the road for three straight weeks: Giants, Jets, Patriots. I don't see them going any better than 1 - 2 through that stretch.
tongue-tied lightning
they might as well pack up the team and move them to LA,they will never recover from this game.
