What i like about you - Romantics

you can make a case that the Romantics were a one-hit wonder, but you have the wrong song

they had one song in the top 30 and it reached No. 2

but it wasn't What I Like about You, it was Talking in your Sleep

One in a Million hit No. 37 and What I Like about You No. 41

i always thought When I Look in your Eyes was the best track on their first record

Focus -Hocus Pocus

Nice call Drew. :thumbup This thing was turning into 'worst song ever" territory. Whether or not you dig the strange vocal bits you gotta admit that is one KILLER guitar riff on that one. Play it LOUD.

Ah yes, this song is mentioned in the Sunken Treasure DVD . . .

And, I played in this group as a teenager end of 77, 78 and beyond . . .

Tony Defranco was twelve when they recorded the first record . . .

(he's 5 months younger than me)

The "wrecking crew" played on this - Larry Carlton, Hal Blaine, Max Bennet . . . it used harpsichord . .

Don't recall seeing this mentioned but how about The Night Chicago Died by Paper Lace.

Yeah, I mentioned that one a couple pages back.

My 70s radio one-hit wonder favorites are:

Jay Ferguson - Thunder Island

Paper Lace - The Night Chicago Died

I like quoting myself. :D
