Dude should really be embarrassed by his misuse of the apostrophe.

Yeah. With such dumb fans, no wonder they suck.

Even though Indy did not have the dominant season we're accustomed to 9 straight wins to close out the year looks pretty damn good.

And - wtf happened to the Cowboys today? That is one hard-to-figure-out team.

I had considered that possibility. Tough season, Lion(')s' fans.

Also, what a disappointing second half for the Redskins. It's no 0-16, but ending 8-8 after starting 6-2, and ending the season with a stupid loss to the stupid 49ers, was pretty brutal. I cannot understand why the Redskins called a timeout at fourth and goal with 1:15 remaining, basically giving the Niners the time to go down the field and set up for the winning field goal. Losses to St. Louis, Cincinnati and San Fran. And they failed to remain the only team in the league not to give up 25 points in a game. Ugh.

Vikings are NFC North Champs!! Woo hoo!! I was so prepared for the worst today and they almost delivered, but I'm excited anyway. Doubly excited that we don't have to play my wife's Cowboys next week so we won't have any domestic discord. Bears fans, I feel your pain. I've been there many, many times.

i'm surely disappointed with the bears, but since i thought they'd be 6-10 at best this year, i'm not too down. i still think Orton is the guy. i think he's a quality quarterback with good skills. is there someone better? sure. there must be someone better they can find. but at what cost? for now, he's the guy. i blame the offensive suckiness on the OC. they need a new offensive game plan. period. and A WIDE RECEIVER THAT CAN CATCH. if bolden says he wants out of arizona at the end of this season, i will be sorely disappointed if the bears don't put a huge effort in to landing him. i also think the bears should reevaluate their defensive scheme. i could fucking throw for 250+ yards on the bears. and i was a fucking maybe-a-little-better-than-average defensive end on a shitty high school football team.

how about the mvp? i think i have to go with Peyton. with serious nods to Deangelo Williams, Michael Turner and Adrian Petersen. and sort of half-assed nods to Philip Rivers, Kurt Warner and Drew Brees.

The Bears likely had the worst wide receiving core in the NFL. In my opinion, they completely under-valued the position. I think Orton is a steady quarterback but you won't be able to truly judge him until he has some receivers to toss the ball at.

Oh, and Manning for MVP.

Ahah, Favre sucks. Ahah, Pennington rules. Playoffs!

Notwithstanding the bitter history between these two teams, as a Jets fan, I am happy that Chad had the last laugh. It hurts to be on the sidelines for these playoffs, but Chad deserves it. Good for him.

A reciever who can catch and run routes properly

Would it be too unkind to call Tony Romo the A-Rod of the NFL?

Hmmm... Plays well when it doesn't matter, chokes when it does, has a thing for blonde pop stars... I don't see any similarity at all.

A couple of differences, Romo seems like a decent guy. There was a story recently about him taking a homeless guy to a movie. Also, despite all Romo's been through, he has stated accessible to the press and his fans.

True - Romo seems like a genuinely decent dude, whereas A-Rod is a headcase.

So I was watching the Dallas/Philly game on a plane yesterday, so I may have missed something. But why is no one talking about the fact that Romo blatantly ignored his coach on the 4th and inches play? Wade had sent in the punting unit and Romo sent them back and called his own number. Granted they got the first down, but that seemed to be a microcosm of the Cowboys team at this point. Sometimes that shit works, but there's no order and no "team" there. Wade should've benched his ass right then. I don't dislike Romo really, but that move needed to have some consequences attached to it, IMO.

Has a player has ever lead the league in fumbles and won the MVP?

I didn't see that, but I think it is certainly a perfect example of all the media grumblings that Wade Philips has lost control of the team and should be fired.

I really like Tony Romo. And Jason Witten. And Marion Barber. I pretty much hate every other Cowboy.

But Romo is still a Cowboy.

BTW, my favorite team on any given weekend is the Bears, my second favorite is always who ever is playing the Cowboys. I even root for the Packers against the so called America's Team. So Romo is nothing to me.

For some reason this does not surprise me at all. :yawn

I didnt see the Romo play referenced above, but as it was described, I don't see it as evidence of Phillips losing the team. When Favre would do that in Green Bay (or insert another QB example) he was held up as a gritty leader. The Cowboys fell apart, and Phillips bears some blame, but I am not sure the Romo play is evidence of that.

Another one bites the dust: Broncos fire Shanahan.

Separated at birth?
