calvino
That Mike Love bit was a good one - I think Dylan's comment the same night was equally funny/good --- "I'd like to thank Mike Love for not mentioning me."

bleedorange
Really? They wouldn't be my #1, but I would be hard-pressed to think of 30 American bands I like more.
Lammycat
I'd put GnR in a top 10 list easily.

LouieB
I come down on the side of the Stooges. I just bought some concert LP a couple days ago. I would never buy any Guns and Roses. Its just a personal preference. LouieB

Lammycat
I always thought The Stooges were more show than substance. Just my take. It's a lot hipper to say the Stooges were great, though. They were pretty instrumental in terms of being influential, they just didn't do much for these ers.
tinnitus photography
I always thought The Stooges were more show than substance. Just my take. and Guns 'n' Roses wasn't? : i guess one could make an argument that Chinese Democracy and The Weirdness were equally shitty. but comparing the runs of Stooges > Fun House > Raw Power to Appetite > Lies > Use Your Illusion I/II is a mismatch of the highest degree. Analogman
I was just saying what I like. I own the first three Stooges albums. I just don't get into them all that much. It's all good.
