smells like flowers
Iron & Wine. But I'm bummed because he had been touring with a horn section and back-up singers, and all of the sudden it's a solo show. I like his songs and all, but I was looking forward to the energy of a full band. Now I just have to stay awake!

jff
Richard Thompson. Been a fan for 30 years. never seen him before. I've seen him twice. Once in a small club and once in a theater. The club show (1999) was one of the most amazing shows I've ever seen. The theater show was a bunch of old-timers glued to their seats, and nothing but new songs (new circa four years ago, aside from Tear Stained Letter for an encore). Despite the dull crowd, the band played great and Richard played what is surely one of the best guitar solos of all time.
