tinnitus photography
not sure if O'Rourke wants to leave Japan to do music, even just for a one-off
JAK2112
Unfortunately not, but you never know. I'm pumped about F for Foxygen though, one of my favorite new bands.

worldrecordplayer
Robbie RobertsonIs that a "wish", "guess", or "on good information"? Or, more along the lines of a humorous muse given that Levon closed the last one. I think that must be it!
worldrecordplayer
They announce Mikael, but don't announce The Autumn Defense? Is it possible TAD are not playing?

kcortez
Lucius is playing in Williamstown (next city over from North Adams / MASSMoCA) on Saturday February 23rd if anyone is interested. http://www.billsvillehouseconcerts.com/lucius
kidsmoke
Pictures of performers are already up on the website...and I can tell you with two minutes to go...that..."D" is for...The Dream Syndicate!!Love what I know (earlier stuff) & have never seen them...this is turning into an amazing lineup & we are only 4 letters in... Ahhhh....fantastic!!! holy shit!!!! you have to get Days of Wine and Roses. essential LP. What he said.
kidsmoke
They announce Mikael, but don't announce The Autumn Defense? Is it possible TAD are not playing? That would be pretty surprising, as AD are finishing up a new album right now. Maybe they are playing with us like a cat with a crowd of eager mice....maybe they will put AD under T for "The". The Inside of Outside
maybe they will put AD under T for "The". I was thinking the same thing!
Magnetized
Funny you should use the cat and mouse analogy, Kidsmoke. Both Spin and Hidden Track seem to be mightily annoyed at this way of announcing the lineup, calling it tedious and maddening, whereas I thought it was a very Tweedy-esque thing to do! One of the local Berkshires websites even used "Sadistic Wilco" in their headline--tongue in cheek, I think. Here's a link, with a quote from Tony Margherita indicating that there might even be a few surprise nuggets announced later. I'm listening to Days of Wine and Roses by Dream Syndicate now on Spotify. Loving it!
kidsmoke
Diane, you've seen Steve Wynn (of Dream Syndicate) at Solid Sound before...he and his wife, drummer Linda Pittmon, are 1/2 of The Baseball Project. If I remember correctly, the BP's Solid Sound set included a Dream Syndicate song or two. That was SSF#1 in August 2010.

Thanks for the memory jogger.

linclink
"I" is for I Got You. We now know for sure Wilco is playing Friday and Saturday nights. Wonder who is closing on Sunday?I'm hoping for Jeff Tweedy solo acoustic on Sunday...or Yo La Tengo as a consolation prize And I'm betting tomorrow starts with "M" for Mavis Staples!! And maybe more...wondering if some of the later announcements could involve things like Autumn Defense...or maybe Sunday could close with a one of those later surprises being Loose Fur...
