It's an older design, entrances on the outside, can see outside under the doors, retrooms and bedding quesionably clean
theashtraysays
Did anyone else catch this from Wilco's Twitter yesterday?: Port Chester 2x show sold out. Thanks everyone and watch this space for related news on Monday. #Wilco20 Interesting. Adding another show before or after? The Cap is calendar is free on 10/27 and 10/30... twoshedsjackson
Damn. Just saw that. Can only do one show and got tickets for Weds thinking it would be the last of this run. Damn.Same here. Ah well, at least we get to see one, right ?
linclink
Interesting. Adding another show before or after? The Cap is calendar is free on 10/27 and 10/30... Right On for the 30th!!! So I know my hopes for a 4th show on the 27th are unlikely, but I truly believe they could sell it out for a 4th date.Last time they were in the NYC area they sold out Prospect Park for two nights (5,000 capacity X 2 = 10,000) & Terminal Five (3,000 capacity = 13,000 total for last NYC run) for the other. That's certainly more than 4 nights at the Cap (1,800 capacity X 4 = 7,200 vs. 13,000 for last NYC area run) even though the Cap isn't NYC proper you're still drawing from that tri-state population density. So we got a shot at the pre-sale at 10:00 & then the public at 12:00. Here we a-go-go again!
RaspberryJam
I may have 2 night 1's for sale if I get tickets for night 3.
tweety
Same here. Ah well, at least we get to see one, right ?Oh yeah, not bumming about only seeing one; just wanted it to be the last show, and now I want to do Thursday instead (also an easier night for me to make the haul, as then I only have to sleepwalk through Friday at work before leaving early for Trick-or-Treat with the kids). Will probably try for Thursday and then see if I can dump my Weds tix.
musikfilmbook
How about a show in DC or Philly area on 10/26 or 10/27 on their way to New York from Raleigh?

Let's stay in touch on all of this. Also since I'm also going for Thursday tickets what are you looking for, & how many? If I get in to get for Thursday, I'd be glad to get for me & you both. I'm hoping to go with a certain someone, but she has a 9 year old (& one in college), & that means school night issues. So I'm doubtful. I'm just getting for myself right now, but I have a few friends, her included, who I know will try to manage a night or two for this run, if possible- especially since it's supposedly going to be a "An Evening With Wilco" show & all that that implies. RaspberryJam
So, I have tickets for all three nights at the Capitol. Stay tuned, I'm going to have to get rid of some of them. I can't possibly go to all 3. could I?
Bosco
Got right in for night three, GA floor all three nights, yahoo!!!

I can't possibly go to all 3. could I?Oh, believe me, you could! I did a Wilco trifecta two summers ago and it was supremely satisfying! If your circumstances allow, go for it! Mizzy
How many more shows would Wilco need to add before they could call it a residency? If they stick with their policy of very few repeats (combined with their utter refusal to play anything from WTA) and a standard 26 song setlist you've got 78 out of 94 songs (and they don't play Sunloathe, Capital City, Say You Miss Me, and several others all that often). We're possibly looking at them playing every song that they play on a tour over the course of three nights. If you can do all three, do it.
linclink
So, I have tickets for all three nights at the Capitol. Stay tuned, I'm going to have to get rid of some of them. I can't possibly go to all 3. could I? I saw them at all three shows in NYC in July 2012 & they tended to repeat 9 songs a night, with 18 fresh songs each show- a 1/3 to 2/3 mix. I went back to a post I did after the last gig there to garner most of what follow here...My one liner on it was this: "I could spend three nights, and sixty-three songs, on a Riot 'O Rock 'n' Roll yeah, of ultimate Wilco-ness!" That trio of NYC shows is something that I hoped would be a precedent. Like the five they did in Dec. of 2011 in Chicago. I hope these are half as much fun for them as they are for the die-hard faithful, & I'm betting they are. With these being advertised as "An Evening With Wilco" shows I'm betting that we might even see something that exceeds the list of the last trilogy of shows that they did in the NYC/ tri-state area A those shows I counted 63 different songs (with some performed more than once, but not that many)...let me know if I missed any, miscounted or otherwise messed up, & I'll jump in & edit & correct it... but otherwise, here, appears to be that list... Ghost of Electricity
am i missing something or is there not a single one from w(ta)? And if it is indeed true, when did that start? (i haven't paid attention to set lists in a while)
tinnitus photography
according to Setlist.fm, the last time a WTA track was played by Wilco was BBN mid last year:http://www.setlist.fm/setlist/wilco/2013/merriweather-post-pavilion-columbia-md-4bc69bc6.html
A heart I know by heart
They played BBN at the SPAC (Saratoga, NY) Americanarama show
rhino4evr
Wasn't it discussed that there is some strange copyright reason that wilco isn't playing any of the WTA songs? All the tracks were removed from the soundboard recordings. This makes no sense to me. Does anyone know more?

All the tracks were removed from the soundboard recordings. This makes no sense to me. Does anyone know more?Yeah, can't recall all the details...but there were Jeff solo Roadcase shows where all the songs from WTA were removed, & in at least one case, that was a fairly substantial part of the show, resulting in an oddly short show... and I think someone here mentioned actually yelling something to him at some point & him alluding to some weird legal copyright thing or something... I'm sure it'll get worked out eventually, but it is odd & I imagine frustrating for him/them...
rhino4evr
I'm willing to wager that there was some clause on Wilco the album that prohibits them from releasing live recordings of the music without paying some sort of royalty to their old label. This would make a lot of sense as to why they decided to start dbM...probably just fed up with having to pay someone else to release and play their own music. It's really really lame in my opinion. and all this time I thought the reason they weren't playing tracks from that album was due to not liking the songs..lol
tinnitus photography
Why is WTA the only record such affected?
worldrecordplayer
Why is WTA the only record such affected?Just saw 3 hours of Wilco at Lockn'. No W(TA) songs played, again. Has to be some legal issue, I can't figure out what the issue would be that only impacts this album. And clearly they aren't talking about it. Something in the fine print of some legal document that relates only to the royalties on this release. Can't remember ever hearing anything like this before.
choo-choo-charlie
I for one don't really miss the tunes, except maybe One Wing as performed solo by Jeff. It's terrific in that setting.
