Wilco.    Noteworthy as this is my 100th Wilco show.

Despite all the controversy with the Springsteen tickets I managed to score decent seats on the verified fan sale in about 10 minutes yesterday. I got ADA seats 4 rows back behind the stage. Those sea

Awesome album saw Steely Dan play that album a few years back. I remember the show was decent but I was mad that the backup singers sang most of the Fez ‍♂And not Donald

they changed the words too! Fagen was nowhere to be seen during that song. i guess he went backstage to do it. with a fez on, of course.

i am glad i went, but i certainly don't need to see Steely Dan play again. I mean, it was great to hear some tracks I'd never otherwise get to hear, like "Caves Of Altamira" or "Green Earrings" or "Haitian Divorce" which was a clear highlight. but i didn't like some of the liberties taken by the guitar player, esp on the iconic solo of "Kid Charlemagne." I mean, play it like it was played, don't put your own spin on it. I never did see The Wall but I would bet that GE Smith played Gilmour's solos on "Comfortably Numb" like on record and not mutate them. Can anyone corroborate?

also, Fagen's voice is done... no range at all. and he changed the cadence on quite a few songs too. after the proper album was played, we got 'the hits' and it was all very non-surprising... was hoping for a deep cut like "Razor Boy" or some such. Last show I saw had Becker sing "Daddy Don't Live In That New York City No More," but nothing too esoteric was pulled out, just the hits - i guess Fagen can't be charged with false advertising. though adding in a cover ("Keep That Same Old Feeling" by The Crusaders) during band introductions was kinda stupid.

I feel the same as you mentioned! I remember enjoying the Royal Scam title track but I’m done with them I think too. Still was fun while it last and still enjoy the album when I listen to it.

Superchunk

I had a bizarre dream last week that my wife and I hired a contractor to re-do our kitchen and Jason Narducy was the painter.  He was a nice guy in the dream and did good work.  Tell him I say "hi' and that I gave him a good Yelp review in my dream.  :D

Nice. I read somewhere he's playing guitar again? Or at least he did in Kansas recently.

Yep - just on the 1st song, Things Have Changed. It was nice to see. Great, great performance, overall. Would recommend this tour if he passes through.
