  1. album cover here at least that's the last i heard. i haven't received mine yet, and i preordered a while back.
  2. me too, froggie. i didn't think those wilco ones were around, but i started thinking that maybe i missed their "release".
  3. do you mean the tweedy solo shows or the wilco shows? the wilco shows, to my knowledge, haven't surfaced, but the tweedy shows are up on various bittorrent sites, including the one here on VC, frequently. they are great quality recordings... if the wilco ones are up somewhere, i'd like to know!
  4. eef barzalay is clem snide's lead singer and main songwriter. eef's presence on this album excited me for sure, but costello and tweedy on the same album? sounds like my personal heaven.
  5. sorry i missed your b-day...hope you had a lovely one.
  6. word. are you a ryan adams fan? he uses that "face melted off" thing constantly!
  7. happy b-day, morgs! you were one of my first wilco friends and are still one of the best! happy 18th! love you!
  8. sounds amazing! i'd be jealous, but i figure that would be selfish, seeing that i got to see jeff the other night and most of the rest of the country didn't get a show in their area. great to see lots of rarities mixed in!
  9. ha! this is exactly what i was thinking when reading a-man's post!
  10. sorry...i figured everyone would think i was talking about an imposter. thanks for clearing it up, though, alison.
  11. did anyone else see borat there? good god...i think i'm blind. he was wearing that green slingshot thing and a suit jacket. when he turned around, there was nothing there but butt... he made some comment to jeff from the audience, and jeff said something, calling him sasha. good catch, jeff!
  12. glad that you and kris had fun! i think you are right in saying that there was no bad view. oh, and yes, it was taped. there were two tapers!
  13. i wrote down some lyrics, but i gave my setlist away. all i remember is it was relatively slow and had the repeated line "you are going to have to be patient with me". i got a little teary listening to it...as-is usual with jeff, it was sung very obviously straight from the heart. the lyrics, i also remember, were, as are many of the other new songs, pretty straight forward.
  14. i heard that too. i love that it's a mystery. skip, good call on the spotlight thing, though.
  15. row C section 2 i didn't hear that other comment. i guess jeff could hear us all, huh?
  16. kris, we looked for you guys, but didn't see you. i take it you enjoyed the show?
  17. i think that the "fighting" jeff was referring to was between members of the audience feeding him different lyrics for "the ruling class"...oceanman, i guess you were one of them; i was another. for the record, i thought the crowd was excellent...maybe a bit too polite. people were even hesitant to participate in singalongs, though erin, morgs, wendy, and i sure had fun playing our part. off to bed...eight hours in a car is serious business, but jeff shows definitely are worth every mile. also, i wanted to chime in that pat and john sounded lovely. some of the new songs are sounding e
  18. home of the green-tinted cd cases, correct? hey! i just hit 900 posts!
  19. he was great here in the fort a few months back. lots of singalongs but some surprises too. i would love to hear reports back on the shows coming up. of course, i could go to a dylan fan site, but i love my VC peeps.
  20. yay! (i already knew this, but i am excited!)
  21. to risk starting the whole "let's rank the albums" thread again, i will just say that summerteeth, as-is, was always and still remains my favorite wilco album.
