I liked Flashback. It was cheesy, though.

Make sure you don't ask us where Son Volt's loft is.

Has anybody heard Stewart talk about this reunion? He must have gave the rest of them his "blessing", though I don't know (legally) what he could do.
-
His role in Hoosier was great, too.

ESPN aired the last inning, I was able to catch it while flipping the channels. There is nothing more exciting, in any sport, than a perfect game. ESPN aired the Marlin feed - the announcers said the whole park gave him a Standing O going into the 9th. Classy.

That sucks - was a great actor. At least Hopper made it back into films after all his issues - hell it's great that he lived that long. His role in Apocalypse Now has always been one of favorite roles by any actor.

I did not notice any change of speed, but I only listened to it twice and I already loaned it to my neighbor. When I get it back I'll take a closer listen. I did not see anyone mentioning it on the Hoffman page. Would be cool to have an original pressing...How did you get that?
-
Well Hoffman is up to 142 pages discussing this release - from what I can gather they are pretty much panning it. But I'm not too sure with all that is going through all the pages. Anyway I think it (the CD) sounds fine it - is definitely louder and they seem to have brought the vocal more to forefront, I can actually make out of what Jagger is singing. I still not have done any comparison to the Virgin or the vinyl I have. Has far as the bonus disc, they only one that I am not particularly fond of is Following the River, that sounds too new and the addition of strings is ridiculous. The re

bands you might listen to more if they had a different singer

Radiohead - music is a bit interesting but not a big fan of Yorke's singing. -
CNN TV just reported he passed away. Chicago trib link Used the watch the show when I was a kid. The red hair kid always bugged me.

Here is a video interview with Ronnie and Kenny from the BBC. Ronnie kinda blames Rod's manager for always making sure Stewart is schedule to do something when the Faces plan to get together. "]Here is one from Rolling Stone.

Soulard is a great neighborhood. Here is a link to the Historic Soulard facts and going on's. McGurks, in Soulard, is a great Irish Pub for food and drinks. The Zoo is nice and I think it's still free. The have a decent Art Museum, too (which I think is still free.) The Landing is a bit of disappointment these days, most of the older clubs are all closed. The Loop area is nice also for shops. Vintage Vinyl is there as well as Chuck Berry's place Blueberry Hill.

To Wilco fans he was pretty well known, at least.

I know his first song has been the same for years - Whiskey River. Don't know about the rest of the set, though. Saw him last summer with Dylan and Mellencamp. I thought he was good, pretty tight band, though piano was very low in the mix this particular night.

Wood definitely needs the money; the rest of the band probably wouldn't mind the money, either. But I don't think Stewart can do a full (or a mini-)tour with the Faces. Stewart is one person who doesn't need the money, I think if he could pull it off, he would do it. I don't think it's a money thing. After his throat issues, Stewart hasn't done a "rock" show since 2001. (I guess he really hasn't done a "rock" show since at least 80's.)

I think Moss was kidding...It does look like a rather odd line-up. I read that Slash may be involved, too, which would make it even more strange. I hope that it isn't the case, because I would like to see Wood just be the sole guitar player. Honestly I just want to see if he could pull it off. I don't much about the Sex Pistol guy, but it would have been interesting if that got John Stirratt to play bass, he could have handled Lane's vocals and bass lines rather well, I think. The whole thing seemed doomed from the beginning. Stewart definitely can't sing rock and roll anymore, so I don't

I probably have to go with Like A Rolling Stone. Dylan is great for opening tracks, as Ghost wrote. Like Rocks Off but I think Brown Sugar is the better opening track. So What from Kind of Blue should be mentioned, too.

She kinda already did back in 2008. She even has the DVD - I don't if she did the vocals/lyrics for the four unreleased songs in 2008 while using the backing tracks from 1993, though. From amazon page:

I think Cracker's Euro-Trash Girl was a hidden track. That's a favorite of mine.

From Dio's webpage: It's great that they thought of special rates for hotels, I never heard of a rock star (or their family) think about hotel rates.

Thanks for the link - nice read. Has there info regarding the funeral?

I think a lot of these of pictures are in the book that is part of the Super-Deluxe package (CD,Album, DVD, postcards, and book). I thought very briefly about buying it, but I just settle on the two cd set. I will buy the Exile DVD in June, though. The reissue does good, though I have not compared it to the vinyl or the 94 Virgin release. It is nice on this latest reissue that Wyman is credited on every song, though.
