I knew of Guy Clark, but didn't really look too close until Lyle Lovett released Step Inside This House. Below is Lyle's cover of the title track, and he tells a great story about Clark, too. It's a great tune. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7GVpeKmniLY

I skipped the 78 box. It does look great, though. Listened to the 7/8/78 Red Rock show via Spotify - it's a good one. I know I have heard the 7/8/78 plenty of times over the years, though - the first two shows of the box are the ones I am not familiar with.

Another Garcia release - it's been a while, it seems. Would have been cool as hell seeing Garcia play in a 200 capacity club.

Curious to know how you know Moore taped this. I don't see any info in the lineage. Does anyone know if there is a complete list of all the shows he taped?

Every band member will have to have a flower painted on their cheek -- an all girl Dead cover band.

This is the main reason I am heading to Alpine --- we're even camping - haven't camped for show since the Terrapin Station shows in 02. I think the music if fine, though. Regarding the money grab and Lesh, etc - I never paid any of that any mind. Last year, I wouldn't have gone to see the Dead & Co show if my buddy didn't want to go, but he didn't really start to listen to the Dead's music until about 04 or so and he wanted to see some of the members play live - so I went and ended up enjoying it. He did, too. The last time (and only time) my wife saw a Dead related show was when th

Speaking of Dead cover bands - tomorrow night, I probably will be catching Jake's Leg down in So. Illinois - playing on the shores on the Mississippi River. They're pretty decent, been seeing them play since 1990 or so. Should be a nice night.

Hopefully you get your pension.

Ugh - it's horrible.

That's pretty funny - I wasn't aware of the set list prior to going last night -- when they started with Playin and went into Crazy Fingers, I must admit I thought that the theater messed up and started with the 2nd set... I am glad I left they before played Hey Jude - man I hate that tune. I thought the Want Dang Doodle was great.

I was listening to the game yesterday on the radio - so I didn't see it until this a.m. -- pretty nasty -- nice of him to cover his mouth right away and head right off the field. He is listed as day to day - so that's good. He is just starting to hit (for average) - he has been doing a steller job in the HR/RBI department.

It was the first time that I was bummed at one of these events -- I actually left early and missed the Dead & Company performance that I read happened, afterwards.
-
Indeed about the Cure show -- catching one of their Chicago shows - stoked!

I was a little disappointed with last night's show --- the performance was great --- but I kept thinking that the show would have sounded and looked better if I was watching it at my home system. It could have been just the the theater that I was at, though I have seen movies there before and they always sounded good.

Yeah, the Rangers did good - after last night's lost, I was hoping the White Sox would pull this one out. Hopefully, Frazier is not too banged up - 5 stitches, I guess.

A great interview with Mavis Staples about her upcoming tour with Dylan. I am not a big fan of the Chicago area venue that they are playing - so I will be skipping the show. http://www.rollingstone.com/music/news/mavis-staples-on-summer-tour-with-bob-dylan-its-really-an-honor-20160509?page=4

Comes a Time is really jumping out on the latest Dave's Pick. The Johnny B Goode was actually pretty good, too. So far it's pretty good, I think. I don't listen to 76 all that often, though.

I had to look that up - Steelers - learn something everyday.

I was in 6th grade when We're Not Gonna Take It broke - perfect song for kids who thought everyone was against them - plus the video funny and great as hell.
-
I need to watch that - they were a fun back in the day when I was in grade school. Dee is a pretty interesting guy.
-
Yeah - after seeing them in 94, I was going to skip them when they came through Chicago in 95. A friend had an extra for the 2nd night in Chicago, so I went. Listening to the Seattle show now - a six song first set, I think we were calling that a 'six pack first set' back then. Definitely a nice Fire.

Watched most of the Roxy DVD yesterday - definitely great playing, but must admit it didn't hold my interest. I thought it was shot great, though. It did make me sad seeing Frank smoke all those cigarettes and I never saw a bass player keep a lit cigar in his mouth for a whole show before. Franks lyrics tend to bore me after a while - his guitar playing never does, though.

Speaking of Bear - just started the below - so far, it's far out, man.

Below is a stream of the WTTW show, that he performed on the 17th, the day before the Chicago Theater shows. I think I have the video on my hard drive, but not sure. That Dreamin' Man cd is a great one. http://www.panicstream.net/vault/neil-young-11171992-chicago-il/ Also Tim Roth's interview with Neil from the same Centerstage show. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=riW8yiHbFZU
