  1. Normal cameras (without detachable lenses, etc.) are fine.
  2. Congratulations to you and your newly expanded family! I look forward to pictures. Keaton must have known he would be entering a bear of a Wisconsin winter, and bulked up accordingly.
  3. A few pictures from last night here. I'll have some more up at some point...
  4. I am not in in the photo, but I witnessed the moment of its taking.
  5. Duh, indeed! I've added her to my list. And yes, Soozanne was at that show.
  6. Okay, fine... but I need to crib from other people's lists and I know I'll forget people. alison the wilca Larry Mendte stardog Twisted Acres imdwalrus bbop Louieb Tweedy's Gurl samorama soozanne Dreamin' woman at the bar gustafks legalsandwichmaneuver thecowboyangel MeDave dcbbl Sandoz timbits TimRoss Rob (and Mrs. Rob) girl 37 esel gogo Trish Pitsby Jasmine pneyu renic hodie la* gena waterbra carlos lindsey Wafer srmt skflynn (and mrs. skyflynn) A Radio Cure Reni Jorge talullah jcarlile1 Attack With Love insideoutoflove Amaranthine solace Narziss Analogman austrya Jay Shaky McGoogle El Fam
  7. As long as this "after the show" is actually before the show, here are some pics Sam has taken of the polar bears... More: http://www.flickr.com/photos/samorama/
  8. They already did play it. I think what he was saying is that he's holding out hope for the other songs Jay "took with him" because they do play "Cars Can't Escape." I'm hoping for "Let's Get Carried Away."
  9. I finally got the rest of my Saturday night photos up. Here are a few of the better ones ... they can all be found here.
  10. Yeah, I was thinking about that during the show. "I hope it's not that it just seems quieter..."
  11. Definitely seemed less loud to me. The first night it was painful at times, and I bought ear plugs for Saturday, but didn't end up using them.
  12. I have met approximately 8,000 VCers. Maybe not quite. But I live near Chicago, I travel a lot, and I've been on VC for a long time, so.
  13. Oh my. These shows have been just amazing, and I'm having such a fantastic time. After Andrew came out for "Jesus" tonight I turned to some friends and proclaimed that now that we knew he was in the house, "Dreamer in my Dreams" with Andrew Bird would pretty much be the best thing ever. And lo and behold... Here are a couple of pictures. I'll have more up at some point soon (I promise, Johnny!) I can't wait for the rest of the shows. I love seeing everyone, too... The Lonely 1: Dash 7 (Andrew on the right):
  14. Nah, there's no way Larry Mendte would ever be sarcastic about anything. Ever. It has got to be true if he says it is.
  15. Oh geez. Way too close to home; familiar territory. Not that anywhere this happens is ever worse than any other place.
  16. http://archive.viachicago.org/index.php?s=...st&p=312593 The easiest way I could think of to find it in the archives was a search for "Carrot Flowers" This was the first Living Room show ever (well, through Letters to Santa, I'm sure there had been other similar things before) so excuse some of the gushy excitement. Or, don't.
  17. Thanks again for posting this, Maudie, and doing the organizational stuff. Truly a fitting tribute to Nat.
  18. Yay, Heidi! I hope your birthday blows these guys: ...clear off your porch!
  19. Happy birthday to Alissa! Wow, the first time I met Brennan I think he was just a year older than Alissa is now. Crazy!
  20. They emailed me, I assume at the email address associated with the original ticket order. That's how I found out about Colin's tour in the first place.
  21. No kidding. I remember how he's never even played in Wisconsin solo and I've always had to go to Chicago to see him ... until now. By the way, reason #1,539 that I love the Pabst - they had a special early presale for people who had bought tickets to the canceled Long & Short of it tour. I scored a front row ticket. Actually the front row of the pit at the Pabst is a almost a little too close for a seated show, but I'm not going to complain. I've enjoyed both Colin solo shows I've seen. I got no prickish vibes.
  22. The newspaper article I read specifically mentioned Neko being in the lineup; no mention of Dan. Won't he be touring with Destroyer around that time? Now if they were only coming to Madison, too...
