Same here. I got through the first one, but haven't made much headway in the second in the past week or so. It seems like there just aren't enough hours in the day. At some critical juncture I'm just going to need to quit and focus on the last two - my memory of them is kind of hazy at this point. Also, how am I going to not get spoiled for the last Harry Potter book once it comes out? It seems like I'd have to completely avoid the entire internet, watch no TV, and wear earmuffs and blinders when outside to avoid being told how it ends.

Thanks, everyone. Right now I'm leaning toward installing the cable internet myself and ponying up $2.50 or so a month to lease the modem, but buying a wireless router. They don't offer free modems - I kind of hate Charter. That and even though I'm changing my service and moving, I still can't get the promo rate on this bundle package unless my account has been inactive for at least 30 days. (Or - I'm just assuming here - I put the account under someone else's name and then switch the service over to me after a couple of months, which is what I'll probably do.)

I'm moving in the next month or two, and need to get cable installed at the new place. I'm planning to get the high speed internet/digital cable/telephone package - that's what I have now, minus the phone, but it's been about 4 years since that was installed and my memory of cable installation does not stretch back that far. Basically, I'm trying to get things set up correctly without getting totally ripped off. The cable installation fee is one-time, $50. You have to pay it. However, you have the option of having the high speed internet installed for another $50, or installing it yourse

LNGCA is not on an EP - it's the B-side to an import 7" and is also available on iTunes. One True Vine and Theologians are on a bonus EP for indie record stores, in a slipcase, separate from the CD or CD/DVD. They were there last night - if you didn't grab one when you bought the album, maybe you can talk to Laurie's about setting one aside?
-
Yes, and the added bonus of me taking pics was that I have them of everyone except Stacy and me! Heidi - no ass hugging, but we did do the dance.
-
Laurie's Planet of Sound had them at midnight @ the Hideout in Chicago! I have it, but haven't played it yet. It's One True Vine and Theologians live from the Kicking TV concerts at the Vic, I think.

This makes me very happy!

SBS Preorders: Put your MusicToday bitching here!
Preferred B replied to lost highway's topic in Just A Fan
Don't forget that these weren't purchased from the normal Wilco Musictoday store, but the "Sky Blue Sky Preorder Store" or whatever. So your order won't show up under your Wilco account. -
Ah, "Hate it Here" - can't wait to see that one. And very nice to see a full band PKB making an appearance. Thanks for the report - there aren't too many times I wish I went to Northwestern, but this is one of them.

I think people are overlooking the fact that Jeff says he's taught himself to play "Dancing Queen" on the acoustic guitar. Helloooo new solo show request.

Johnny, if this is true, you just blew my mind.

1. Glenn's hair is looking ... lustrous. 2. I think the word he used was actually "voracious."

Typically, Wilcoworld gets 10% of the venue to sell at presale.

Wilco to play Northwestern's A&O Ball on May 11...
Preferred B replied to bböp's topic in Just A Fan
Also, while last time they were very clear that you needed an ID to purchase tickets, they also made it clear that guests of students/faculty were allowed, etc. This time it sounds like they're saying you need an ID to get in, period. -
They should play in Kenosha. At the Sesquicentennial Bandshell in Pennoyer Park.

September of 2003! That was an awesome weekend. I think that was the last time I saw you, Bridget?! I spot the bbop here!

It's one of my favorite Decemberists songs, so I'm glad your friend asked Colin to play it! The Tain was great. I honestly can't remember if I've seen them do it before, but I know I've wanted to.
