  1. setlist.fm notes California Stars and Shot in the Arm on the printed setlist for a second, but not played, encore.
  2. In years past they've varied quite a lot... but that was also before they started playing Star Wars and Schmilco to start their shows. I'd expect they'll play the whole Schmilco record both nights, then 5-10 songs at the second show they didn't play the first night. If anyone has a TM presale password for these shows, i'd be much obliged...
  3. maybe the scale of this endeavor will motivate Trey to practice...
  4. It could be complicated to acquire the rights to guest artists' performances... ideally the artistss would have signed a release prior to the sit in. The mechanical rights cost about $0.09 per track per copy (>5 mins), whether it's for a CD or a permanent file. As we saw with the Solid Sound show, paying for these rights is not a barrier to releasing cover songs. Here's hoping all of it gets an official release.
  5. The tour grosses came from pollstar not wilco, and the merch grosses are from unnamed sources. not sure where pollstar gets its ticket sales figures, or who the sources are. Anyone know what standard splits are for venue/promoter/talent for a band of wilco's size, or what a reasonable estimate is for merchandise revenue as a percentage of sales? Anyone? Bueller?
  6. If these were weekend shows that started at 3 or 4 pm, they would have sold better.
  7. Dylan's 'new' guitar player was Colin Linden. No idea if he's joining the tour or if it was a one off.
  8. danlynch, thanks of the excellent recording. sounds great for an outdoor show.
  9. These have ranged from $40-$80 over the past 6 months on ebay. Can't remember one going for more than $80.
  10. i had 5 but i lost one. The one i lost was the blue radiator. Alas, it was my favorite.
  11. glad i only bought the vinyl release and not the delux CD too. this looks great.
  12. pearl jam's is a lottery. you order tix through tm w/ a personal code, but you don't know where your seats are until you pick them up the day of the show. it seems to work pretty well. wilco should do larger fan presales through TM, rather than frontgate, since the latter is terrible and seems to provide no benefit.
  13. the boston poster is still for sale online. looks great.
  14. the 'almost' video on youtube my have skewed my expectations. i was hoping for weirder. this is a fine effort, but it seems to be in quite the same vein of wilco as their last two records.
  15. this is just contempt for their fans. why not just do a pre-order only special where you get the delux CD w/ the vinyl?
  16. there's also a two disc version of ST, which was promo and came w/ chattering teeth. not sure if that counts...
  17. the key to Frontgate used to be get in earl, like before the posted onsale time. but that doesn't work anymore. they haven't gone live before the posted time in a few tours. hard to tell if they are late. i've been too busy refreshing...
  18. got a pair for both nights in Toronto. Not great seats but not bad either. it's a huge relief to know i've got seats, even if they are approximately $15 more expensive than TM.
  19. a friend of mine just reported he got me one.
  20. how hard was it to get an unsigned clear copy? i just ordered the blue off ANTI-
  21. i took some pics during the encore, they are decidedly meh. will re-size them and post later... the guy who laughed was more impressed than anything. he also had a running commentary going about much he loved 'this' song.
